I loved your ending comments for this vlog. You and your family have truly been a gift to all of us. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed traveling the world with you, watching your children grow through their experiences and just enjoying day to day life with a spirit- led family. Keep up the great work. And Knorp boys - oh my-please be careful . Two trips to the Urgent Care Unit this week was two trips too many. I hope you both feel better soon. And Eve, you seem to be thinking a lot lately. You are also turning into a beautiful young lady. Have a great rest of the week family!!!

So what you call German Pancakes, are Yorkshire Puddings. Normally served with a Sunday dinner, with lots of gravy.

what is your recipe Becky for yorkshire pudding
@Lily_and_River6 жыл бұрын
It's funny that Americans call them Dutch babies aswell. It's more derived from German pancakes (which are generally a lot thicker than French crepes or Dutch pancakes). This probably happened because the German word for German is 'Deutch' which is similar to 'Dutch' where Dutch people would say 'Nederlands'. I have nothing against Americans but it's frustrating sometimes how often people mix up facts about the Netherlands with Germany and vice versa. It even happens in movies all the time. Ah well, I guess we are a small country and not very well known. Anyway I think everyone should try out a real Dutch pancake in their life because they are really good (of course I'm biased but I hear tourists love them aswell). They are slightly thicker than a French crepe but are as large as a large plate (like a pizza) and we eat them with almost anything you can think of. Also we eat them as dinner mostly, not breakfast. We eat them as a complete meal with meat, cheese, vegetables. In a restaurant they are so big that you can hardly eat one per person. At home we make them as large as our frying pans allow but they are generally a bit smaller so you can eat more of them.

We have 3 kids...well they are adults now. It got so ridiculous how often we were at the ER or urgent care. I felt like they were starting to look at us funny. They were just very active, kind of klutzy, adventuresome kids. I swear one time I suggested that a frequent customer card might be a good idea to the nurse. You know, 5th visit is free kind of thing. Broken bones, stitches, concussions, burned hand when a model rocket engine experiment went bad. Needless to say our medical bills were sky high.
