The fixed deposit really works, my mom died when I was ten years old and I was soon sent to boarding school where I started to get access to grocery money and one of the bank tellers asked me if I wanted to save money I said yes but I don't have alot he told me even if it's R100 and so I started saving R200 and then years later when family bailed on me while I was in university and my laptop had crashed. That bank text message saved my studies becouse it was reminding me that I have savings and that's when I went to get my emergency cash from my savings and I fixed my laptop. This saved me alot.

On The black tax issue i totally disagree with Mduduzi+Trudy when they say just look at the numbers, i feel that they speak from a position of privilege,ie.. There are a lot of child headed households in RSA, its unfortunate however it's our reality. Should 1 of the kids get the opportunity to study instead of just look for a job post matric. They have to cater and look after their siblings so they too can contribute to the economy. The conversation should be on educating black people from a young age on financial literacy and finance and how they can empower themselves.

And thank you Trudy 🤗how I wish my mother could also see that her being there for me financially doesn't rule out the need for me to have a father😔. They got divorced when I was a kid and he has never been part of my life financially emotionally or physically. So at times I try to vent and she just cut me out saying you got me I do everything for you. But I was happy hearing you say that money it's just a tool and she can't be a handy man. Thank you so much The Ndlovus ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just joking about the comment but. Investing is important because i think i relate to it like the parable of the servants because when you invest u consider giving it all for everything and that is a good becoz i say success needs u too risk it all for a bright future. Basically you take the little u have for whole lot more just what that customer was supposed to do. I do both saving and invest but i relate to #I AM AN INVESTER #LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD (^3^)

Wow I’m so glad I came across this video even though it’s 5 months later!! I relate so much to the black tax topic, I’m 21 years old and Yoh the responsibility is too much , the thing that bothers me the most is that I’m still trying to figure out my life too but just because I took a gap year in America doing a not so fancy job I’m moneyed 😭 ... I feel like a terrible person whenever I say No! But this video is a eye opener. Thank you guys!!!

My very late 2 cents on the men not being able to be defined outside of how much more money they earn than their spouses/partners is also perpetuated not only by society, but by the very women they live with/are married to. Many women tend to want a man with money. They ask things like "can you afford me" on the first date and this is adding fuel to the fire. Most men won't be able to live in a society with women who require that they earn more than them harmoniously because women tend to remind them that they earn less. And it's also a tough one to balance where you want to be with someone not because of how much money they have, but what they have to offer you. Yet here you are asking him about his/her money matters. So it's got layers and is shaded, not just plain old black and white. Sorry for the extra-long comment 😉 Love you guys. Very new to the channel ❤
