Good remark @SaintWisdomshow. I guess what you may want to understand is how the law works. First, court does not treat a matter that is not filled before it. Mere verbalization on issue that is not before the court is a waste of court's time. The judge is magnanimous to allow people express their emotions which is good for their mental health but in reality, of no consequence on the determination of the matter before the court. You will see that the judge went over the claims of both parties at the beginning of the matter and both parties agreed to why they are in court. Domestic Violence is not one of their claims if you listened carefully. There is a separate and different procedure for domestic violence which is a criminal matter. You cannot report a civil case to the court and bring in narration on criminal matter in between, the court proceeding does not work that way. The best any Judge can do in such scenario is to caution / advise the parties, the Judge cannot make judgement on a matter not filled before it.

The woman should be given 3 months to either bring the children under her roof or she looses custody to the father. The court system should begin to address this automatic custody to mothers. Gone are those days when motherhood is synonymous to nurture( many women don't even want to breastfeed anymore). Some of this judgments on child custody isn't fair on the men. A woman can not clearly take care of the children but would want to claim custody and extort the man. In cases where we can't directly state whose care the children are, why not give custody to the man. She claims her mother is the one with them, again she said is nanny and again uncle's nanny/house but the mother goes to take them to school. Which means the kids doesn't live at a particular place. A nanny that's serving your uncle, how sure are we that the kids are given maximum attention when she has alot of people to take care of? Does the law also allow relatives to take custody where the lady is not capable? She's in Lagos living a single life and abandoned the kids to unknown persons far away Ibandan yet the man can't have them!!! If I'm the man, I will give only 2 options, it's either she takes the kids along with her or allow me take the kids, otherwise I won't pay dime.

This lady seems irresponsible. Most judges cant tolerate what and manner these lady speak with. She can't even address Judge Funmi as Ma or your Honour. Who raised her should cover his or her face in shame!
