At the beginning of the episode Saeon is still operating under the belief that Heejoo genuinely has selective mutism. When he saw the video of her talking, he took as she was so distressed, she FINALLY spoke for the first time. It was a rare instance, a one-off. However, he then sees her on the phone and he's like wait, you can talk normally?? It shatters everything he knows. It either she has mutism and can only talk in special moments or she never had it and has been lying for 20+ years.

27:34 Completely agree that Sangwoo ruined the celebration. Sa-Eon said Hejoo said she'd buy him dinner and Sangwoo was still trying to grill them further about coming together. Like he received an explanation and was still interrogating (and he had no right to tbh). Also, even if she wanted to be a newscaster, as far as Sangwoo knows she's mute so that's a big obstacle to that dream, so if she got another great job as an interpreter for the presidential office why did Sangwoo feel the need to rain on her parade? Like he was clearly just mad she'd be working with Sa-eon (which is annoying) but he likes her so he's jealous I get it, but to use her dream to downplay her getting this great job because of that jealousy is so low and dirty to me. Like if he used anything else or had a childish outburst, I would've respected him more...but her dream that she can't have? It's also ironic because in episode 1 it was said that Hejoo once told her boss at the center that she wanted to be on-screen with Sa-Eon if only for a brief moment, which means her current job as an intepreter for the presidential office is helping her fulfill one of her dreams. Sorry for the paragraph I'm just passionate 😂

But please don't forget that sang-woo is also a psychiatrist. He knows that Hae Joo has selective mutism, thus she can talk if she was driven coz she wants to talk. That is why maybe he is pushing hae Joo towards her real dream. And besides, in sang-woo's POV, saeon and hae joo has nothing to do with each other except as new co-workers. And he's jealous, understandably, because he sees that saeon and hae Joo is being comfortable in just a matter of short period (in his POV) 😍

I just reacted strongly to that scene in episode 5 cuz he was doing too much imo but the psychiatrist part does explain it (he didn't have to do that in front of Sa eon and our news anchor though, he could've done that in private. So I stand buy the fact that he ruined that dinner)

It was the end of ep 2, in-a was texting sa-eon. That said, I do think she’s either gonna regain her healing or she’s actually faking deafness like hee-Joo is faking muteness. I highly doubt they cast someone who’s not actually deaf and give her little to no speaking lines. I also keep trying not to call her a brat for not learning how to sign 😅 Sa-eon being so kind to hee-Joo when they were kids makes it even worse when they get married. She’s looked up to him when they were kids and when he became spokesperson, she studies his press conferences specifically for that reason. To then marry him and be ignored and mistreated like that for 3 years, it’s gonna take lots of effort from him to show that he does genuinely care about her Gotta keep in mind what sang-woo said about the unsolved missing orphanage kids case. I have a feeling at least one of these characters is a victim of the case . . . I might be paranoid but sa-eon didn’t end the call when he saw hee-Joo in the dress. Do-jae could’ve heard him call her name . . . But if he’s the rat I think he is, he should already know who she is . . .

finally this week the series resumed. i also think that 406 is actually the boy who wanted to kill the cat. it is possible that he is the real son, but for some reason he was abandoned and they took Sa Eon instead of him. that is also why he now hates the protagonist and wants him dead. remember that they said that 2 orphans disappeared. maybe one of them is him (Sa Eon). maybe they took him without regular adoption, just to not let people know that he is not their real son. as for Hee Joo's sister, maybe she is deaf, but now she can hear through special earphones for these cases. or she also pretended to be deaf for years. However, I hope that Sa Eon will not react badly to the discovery, pushing her away, but will ask her for a real explanation and thus decide to ally himself with his wife against 406.

Man I love kdramas but this whole "tsundere" male lead, who's somehow always loved the fl, and they somehow knew each other as kids, the frustrating miscommunications before they finally confess to one another and share their true feelings trope is TIRED😭. The show has been a bit slow for me till now, although the twist in the first episode was really nice, but I still feel like we haven't really gone anywhere. And I agree with what you said, about how you think they're building their relationship first, so that when he finally finds out everything, he's a bit conflicted, but idk I just feel like we're gonna get a rushed ending at this pace. The ml has also grown on me a bit so I hope them as a couple grow on me too in the next episodes, cause I am enjoying the show so far, just have a bit of critique on some aspects. Anyways sorry for the long ass comment, love your commentary as usual❤!
