I think what blows everyone away with Angelina is that you hear her sing and you think “ Ok this is what she sounds like” with the expectation she will sound like that next time. She then adds another layer and changes her recipe just enough to make you go “ Wow!” And you still fall into the same trap time and time again. Genius!

Well said. The other day I told myself in a video, "She's 10." I had sort of forgotten that. I mean, in all of her videos so far (up to the present moment when she released her first single at 17), she's either a child or a very young lady. Her voice "should not" sound like it does in any video at any age--it's THAT unique and wonderful.

Angelina was 12 years old here. This is June 2018. Angelina and the band rehearsed for months to make the album "It's magic" and then to prepare for this concert. Allready in January were they busy. 10th January 2018 Angelina was 12 years old and the armed forces invited her to a rehearsel but that was actually a surprice party for her. First the band did play and sing for her. And later they all sat down to eat a birthday cake. Yes, Angelina is unbelievable. No matter how often you see/hear her it is always surprising, time after time. She is 12 here (this concert was in June 2018 in Oslo) and this concert was to celebrate their 200 year anniversary. They also have played all the instrumental parts on Angelina's first album "It's all magic". From this concert there are many video's: every song she performed is a separate video. Angelina gets instrumental support here from the Norwegian army: the orchestra is their Staff music band and they have done a lot for Angelina till she went to LA, where she lives now. Angelina really is a Norwegian national treasure till this very day.

@@summaEngineer Well, I am not living in America and I see Angelina as an exceptional gifted girl with a clear vision for herself: writing, making music, singing for the whole World, becoming a superstar (this are all her own words). At the same time she has an eye for the less fortunate people in the World. Must we protect her? Well, we can't do that in person but Angelina has family and friends who are making a great job of that: school comes first, than the rest and (till now that is) no screaming mass media, no main stream industry and a limited amount of performances. It has given her a more or less normal youth and the chance to develop her crafts in her own pace. What we can do: support her. And that is what I do. You know what I am so greatful for? That her family has recorded singing Angelina from a very young age (1.5 year she was...) on video and shared those videos on KZbin. That is giving us a rare inside view of her progression as a musician through life. Most of those video's are not intended to be shared 'all over the place' but we can view them and enjoy it at our own computer/handy or whatever.

"Happy 'Fourth' to you and your family!" Unexpected is the norm when you listen to her song after song. Do you believe some of us have gotten to know what to expect after listening to her for years? "Are you kidding me?" Of course not! Debbie, once she takes over the planet with love generated by her soulful voice you will always be able to return to her earlier years to enjoy her as she was growing up. What's absolutely mind blowing is once she is recognized as a treasure by EVERYONE who hears her sing for them, people young and old will want to hear her sing at 6,7,8, etc., years old because it is not music of a darling little child. Rather it is music sung so beautifully by a human being, so young and with an aura of love around her it will never be forgotten. And we will always remember what kind of a beautiful person she was, so giving and wanting to share her love with all of us. Concerns? Yes, and I'm sure we all do. Right now the dinner table is set for '12'. The gravy isn't quite ready for the delicious spaghetti dishes to be served and then someone opens the front door and guess what? There are 2 million people waiting outside to come in for dinner! Will she be ready? Will she be able to remain who she is and withstand all the media attention? In my heart I truly believe she has thought about what lies ahead and with the help of those close to her she will be able to travel the road which she believes she was meant to be on. Her music is her tool and her connection to all of us. She touches our hearts with her love and that inspires us to be the best we can be as kind, caring and loving human beings, more than we have ever been before in our lives. Debbie, the phrase 'Wrapped In A Warm Blanket' is so perfect when discussing Angelina. We, the people of the world, will provide that blanket for her and will shield her away from those elements which are negative. What I mean by that is she doesn't go 'off course'. There is no question she will involve herself with issues that cry out for help and we know what remedy she will prescribe. Love. She is all about love. @TQQ: It's not just her sound. She is one of the most ego-free performers I've seen. She sings. Period. I'm sure she knows she's good but she doesn't shove that notion in her audience's face. As a result, there is a marvelous connection and we simply enjoy watching and experiencing the entirety of her performances. Also, you know Angelina has experienced loss (her grandfather) and has witnessed poverty (the barefoot little girl) so I suspect there's a lot of emotional crossover which can be conveyed in her singing.

Another wonderful reaction....there really are no words that can explain the wonder that is Angelina Jordan. I have been listening to her every day since early 2020 when I saw a reactor commenting on her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody from AGT. I was stunned...and remain stunned each time I listen to her. All through the pandemic I watched her on KZbin every single day...and wondered would there ever come a time when I would be able to watch her perform live. I now have my tickets to see her live in Portsmouth, NH in September and am counting down the days and moments until I finally can see her walk onto the stage and fill that auditorium with her voice and her love. Hi, Debbie! Thank you for another heartfelt reaction to Angelina. Did you notice she was keeping time with her feet? I am rapidly approaching the age where it is time for me to "turn up my toes" but I'm hangings round just to watch and listen to Angelina. Discovering her in 214 was the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I first heard this song when It was sung by Julie London's in 1955 and even though I have listened to many other covers of the song, her version was firmly my favourite until Angelina decided to record it at the age of 11, for inclusion on her CD "It's Magic". Julie is now in second place, and I doubt that anyone will better Angelina's interpretation. Just as an aside. Since discovering Angelina, when I was 83 years old, my tear ducts have worked overtime.

I really enjoy AJ's 11-13 years old voice. I think my favorite though is "I Will Always Love" You at age 11, although she does not show her phenomenal singing ability as she does in many of her other songs. Debbie, youve only scratched the surface as of now, there are still 20 or more videos of her at age 10-12 that you havent seen yet, and many more at age 13. It looks like Angelina really liked singing that - the glances between her and the conductor tell it all - getting the timing spot on! The clarinet section were in such awe of her, it all adds energy to the performance. If you think this had power, later in the concert she sings It's a Man's world - well it's clearly Angelina's world - that much power from a young artist is just not what you would expect, she makes it look so easy... There is something of a contest going on between her and the first clarinet, Boris was filming this with his basic camcorder, the audio is not the best.
