Most companies have a uniform code, the only one that never did was one and I even kept myself to a "uniform code" so I looked presentable while working. Running my own company I have a uniform code and that helps to obtain trust in new customers from the initial greeting. Uniformed company is better trusting than a non uniformed company because everyone can open a company make a quick buck and close it and run off doing bad work but if they have a decent uniform that seems invested then you know they will stick around longer than the average one hit contractor that does a quick shady job.
@Tyler-rs2zr Жыл бұрын
This is a fallacy. Those with more money to put into more sophisticated scams will have uniforms. The solo starter working their way up from 0 may not be able to afford a uniform.

I know a lot of people say “I won’t unload my mower for less than $50”, but in a situation like mine I can’t for less than $45. It’s not a cocky or narcissistic way to look at it, but it’s because I don’t have very good route density yet. That is something I’m working on now, but I have 35 clients scattered all over town. I’m starting to notice that half of my clients are all on one side of town so now I’m honing I’m on that side of town, maybe 3-5 square miles (this town is spread out), lots of new neighborhoods starting to go up, and they are all military families so many need lawn service because the husbands deploy or spend a lot of time training. Military clients make up 70+ percent of my roster right now. Anyway, I had this playing in my way to a location, have to hop off of here and make some money.

$35 is cheap, but I’m guessing it’s because you are in hyper growth mode…? FYI - door hanging is not “soliciting”. I learned that AFTER getting a peddlers license several years ago. As long as you don’t bother the resident you are just leaving information. No different than junk mail in their mailbox.

Uniforms are important in branding and employee morale. When George Patton took over the 1st Infantry Division after they got their ass kicked at Kasserine Pass, he observed the sorry state of uniform discipline. He started a strict uniform policy, even fining soldiers for even minor infractions, like unbloused trousers and unbuttoned shirts. He said “when they start looking like soldiers, they’ll start acting like soldiers. And when they start acting like soldiers, they’ll start FIGHTING like soldiers”. The 1st ID was never beaten in battle after that. The psychological impact of a uniform appearance is a huge part of team building.,

I’m not competing against CitiTurf I’m competing against ((The bottom 80%.)) my average price$33 and biweekly is$48. Out solo by myself I can generate. $70 a Hour. My employee generates just above $55 an hour. And he’s making $21.18 with P for P so it’s not the greatest but I’m finally seeing profitability as far as my per cut price. Most municipalities door hangers aren't soliciting, but they still want you to get a free permit for canvassing, or whatever they define it as. Not that it matters, but you could tell that stalker lady you have a permit and you'll call the cops if she doesn't stop harassing.
