I absolutely love everything about this woman's "tiny" house (although, with the outdoor space so nearby, it's not really all that tiny.) Clearly the whole decor wasn't put together by an interior designer, and I mean that in the most complimentary way. Everything there clearly has meaing for her. She doesn't have to worry about going bankrupt by following what's in style this year, then next year having to repaint, remodel, throw out what has meaning to her, and start all over again. I'm sure she wakes up every day generally feeling pleased and comfortable in her surroundings. It's so well thought out, functional, and you can see that the decor developed over time, with thought given to how each new piece will fit in with what's already there.

One of the most beautiful and livable homes I've ever seen on here, with tons of personal style. I love the square layout that allows for real furniture, the many cool salvaged pieces that all go together, the big comfy kitchen with tons of memorabilia on display, and the serenity she radiates. It's true this is larger than most tiny homes featured on the channel, but the main difference for me is width, avoiding the highly predictable tunnel layout w/standard built-ins. Bravo!

My Granny cottage is about 200sq feet larger - with a studio/ library/ music room - has a similar feel! (Oh, how I'd love the view!) Wowza! I am fixing up a bitty shed... a long way to go yet. I call it my Zen Refuge. It is partially underground and stays livable all year. Even so, I love it already. I added a 10x10 zen rock garden entry, and it has a 10x14 triangular shed I want for a greenhouse. A12X14 carport. I have a center vegetable garden already as the heart. It is surrounded by a pinyon-juniper edible native food forest. I have 12' of windows, and today I designed Noren window coverings that I will make while it snows all week. The soft feminine French look and rose glow in her house made me second guess myself! But 5 acres of evergreen pinyon-juniper forest on a mountainside is a very Japanese monastery vibe.
