Dogs follow you in the bathroom because you are one of their pack. In the wild they are most vulnerable to predators when they're eliminating, so they stand guard for each other. Hazel wants to protect her Sweetie Pie. Great video! 😂

When my oldest son was 2 I tried to break him from following me to the bathroom by telling him that mommies need privacy in the bathroom. He said ok and left. My husband tried to help by calling for him, to which Jonathan replied "I can't right now, I've got to get mommy some privacy". He returned to the bathroom with a Diet Coke. 😊

I can relate!! I have 2 big chihuahuas and they follow me EVERYWHERE!! In the bathroom they huddle around my feet I can't even move! My girl she's a deer head and much bigger weighs 20 lbs if I get up off the chair/sofa there she is right behind. Can't cook without tripping over her or her brother!!!

The cat in my avatar is a Ginger/Maine Coon mix, he kind of looks like what some call a Werewolf Cat. But his disposition is exactly like Tiggers, he's just the sweetest and most laid back cat in our cat clan of 17. BTW: His name is Ezekiel Holypawz.😉😁. The avatar really doesn't do him justice. In person he's as fluffy as Tigger. P.S. we have 2 bathrooms and our hall bathroom is very small, barely enough room for me, then when all 17 cats decide to join me, it does get a bit overcrowded in there.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

There's no going to potty alone with cats or dogs. It's just the fur kids, my husband and me so we only sit the bathroom for when we're home together, we both agree that we dint need to know that much about each other. The cats and the dog do not agree with that, they think your torturing then if you shut the door and they're in the other side. The rules for the cats and their bathroom time are different... so not even look in the directing of the laundry room where the litter boxes are, they need privacy. My husband had to build a "roof" over the potty pad area our youngest cat uses. He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia and doesn't walk and he can't use a regular litter box. He was so hair when we realized he wanted more privacy and he got his little roof. It's meeting so he can pull himself into position.

I can relate because I have a dog and whenever you go to the bathroom the dog feels that he has to follow you into the bathroom and watch you do your thing. he's outside most of the time so he's not in the house watching everybody go in the bathroom. we don't have a dog constantly wanting to go in the bathroom with us if we are in the bathroom and he doesn't see you he'll sniff under the door to try to figure out who's in the bathroom and when we had cats we never had a cat in the bathroom With us. cats had a lot better respect for our privacy then our dog dose
