A lot of ppl like to blame wanda and stand up for what Hayward but in reality I think that… Wanda was the villain here, and so was Hayward. Wanda didn’t resurrect vision and everything she did was against her will, but as the show went on she became blatantly Aware of what was happening and aloud it to continue. But Hayward was being very hypocritical here saying Wanda needed to be eliminated for resurrecting vision against his will when that’s exactly what he was tryna do, both r baddies. I think Monica was a bit stupid a lot of the time with her reasoning but her method of trying to make the scarlet witch understand what she was doing was a lot more effective than Hayward tryna destroy her

Wanda was failed from the start. They always treated her like a Liability. She never recovered from her childhood trauma because she never stopped experiencing trauma. She is a Villain but a sympathetic one. She was made to be one when she was experimented on. She tried to be Good but the Avengers only ever recognized her for her potential for damage and harm. She created her perfect world out of trauma. She is the most complex character in the entirety of the MCU. I refuse to accept that she is dead.

Calling her a terrorist is strictly incorrect, she's not using terror to achieve political goals. She has no political goals in this and she's not using terror. Not really. Her actions are unacceptable and horrific. But a label of terrorist is a very specific one.
@joshuagiehll37372 ай бұрын
She literally enslaved an entire town, and then threatened anyone that tried to stop it. Then after the repeated warnings of how bad the Darkhold is continued to use it to gain access to "children" she herself never had. Threatening to murder and steal the powers of another child. She may have helped save the universe, that does not give you the freedom to ignore the damage you are doing to everyone around you just to get what you want.

Wanda was wrecked by grief and pain, she wasn’t a terrorist intentionally causing pain and fear to spread. Maybe by MoM she was, but Rambeau wasn’t wrong in accurately assessing the situation
@DreamerDaLeader2 ай бұрын
@@anthonyhubbard8the darkhold also corrupts the user, which is why Agatha says she has no idea what she has just done when she loses the book,(theory starts) because even though Agatha is evil the darkhold made her worse, and her eyes “opened” when she lost the book. @joshuagiehll37372 ай бұрын
@anthonyhubbard8 again, grief and pain does not make what she is doiing ok. "Intentional" or not the reality of the situation is what matters, not her feelings. She was a sentient nuke currently going off and killing an entire town. As sleazy as the government guy is (don't remember his name), he isn't wrong. It's all the worse when it is revealed that the townsfolk are conscious under the spell, completely are the entire time of what's going on. Doctor Doom doing this exact same stuff in the comics to his own country is called a tyrannical dictator.
@anthonyhubbard82 ай бұрын
@ it’s about intent, Dr. Doom wants power and control while Wanda is just wracked with grief and created a happy sitcom fantasy where people don’t get hurt. I don't get Monica's point here. What kind of argument is "She could've hurt more people if she didn't stop herself"? Whether she's hurting 10 people or 1000 people, she's still hurting innocent people. How does quantity change the situation? Serial killers are still serial killer whether they kill 5 people or 50 people.
@Ultra_JTBАй бұрын
The point is that Wanda wasn’t actually being malicious. The hex was made by accident after she had an emotional breakdown and only continued because she was in denial about the reality of it. She clearly had no intention of harm since when she ejected Monica, she actively shielded her from the damage said ejection would have caused. In the final few episodes where she properly realizes what she’s putting the people through, she opens the hex back up and lets them go. The entire thing was just a result of grief making someone lose control of powers they didn’t even know they had until that very moment.
@TaurielTheElfАй бұрын
@@Ultra_JTB Yeah, I've seen the show, I know what happens. That's not what I was criticising. I said that Monica's argument was stupid from an in-universe perspective. She's saying that as if it's a good thing Wanda isn't hurting *more* people than she could. I'm not saying the guy is right, but in this situation, he had a point with "she's hurting innocent people, we need to stop her" and Monica replying to that specific statement with "well at least she isn't hurting more innocent people" is a stupid thing to say when you're supposed to be a smart character. If Wanda had an entire country under her control, would that be enough people for Monica? If instead of blatantly defending Wanda she would've said something along the lines of "we should know how and why she does it before acting", that would've made more sense and would be in accordance with Monica's beliefs that Wanda is still a good person without making herself look stupid.

I understand having complex empathy for villains but this comment section seems like it would cheer on the Joker bc he’s “not all there”. PTSD is not an excuse, as horrible as it is. It is concerning when Wanda is considered justified. Every clip (and in the movies) she’s correct, but her actions are way out of line. They are her powers, it’s her responsibility to understand them.
@TaurielTheElfАй бұрын
@@adrianmcbride1666 That's for a later episode, buddy. And that's very clearly not what Monica is saying in this scene. She sympathises with Wanda because she lost her mother, but that's not a reason to be on her side when she does fucked up shit. Nothing, and I mean nothing, justifies hurting innocent people. When you do wrong things for the right reason, you're still doing wrong things. The fact that Monica refuses to think about that makes her look incredibly stupid. That alongside her line in the finale "They'll never know what you sacrificed for them"

You're thinking in black and white. Wanda saved universe = Wanda is obviously good, how can they not trust her. There are two problems with that thinking: 1. Plenty of bad/problematic people would fight to save the universe. Murderess, child abuses, corrupted politicians and yes, some of terrorists too. They're living in that universe! Their plans and dreams are in that universe! Most "bad people" don't actually want to destroy the world or whatever, they just have their own goals and don't care for currently established laws/moral codes. 2. When you're one in charge of security you don't care if someone is "good" or care for their motives. Whats important for you is if someones is a danger, a risk. It doesn't matter if Wanda is acting upon grief or if shes evil and wants to rule the world. What matters is that shes a walking nuke may or may not detonate.
