Just found your channel and into my bassing. Catching on the fly looks exceptionally brilliant fun. Some nice but dangerous rock formations in your parts there. Well done for getting the big beauty out of that swell. Good luck this year mate.

Great video thank you Rhys. As someone that would perhaps like to try this it would be good to have little comment on technical approach. Love your videos. Many thanks.

Sut mae Rhys, I’m from west wales myself and spent a lot of time fishing for bass in west and South Wales. Now I find myself in Edinburgh with virtually no bass to be found. Plenty of sea trout though to similar techniques and marks . Also plenty of pike to be had on the fly in the fresh waters too. 😊🤘
@RhysFishes2 жыл бұрын
Sut mae Noblest. Some great pike waters up your way there!

@@RhysFishes Thanks. Jackie and I fancy giving it a go here in NE England.

Hi Rhys Great work as usual how's the hyperloop reel holding out the bearings are a bit rumbly in mine but for a cheap reel the drag is really good you can still catch good fish on them. I,m yet to try for a sea bass on the fly but your are inspiring me to have a go. Off trout fishing tomorrow so hoping for an evening rise.
@RhysFishes4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The real is ok and does the job for what we need. Hope you enjoyed the vid. Good luck with the evening rise!

Brilliant video again. Nice to see something a little different. Caught my record brown on the river today on a dry. 2Lb! Quick question, on a 2 foot deep river how deep would you have your point fly under an indicator?
@RhysFishes4 жыл бұрын
Great news Nick, well done! Id generally play around at 2ft and go longer or shorter from there. Its a case of just trial and error but youre obviously doing it right with catching fish!

Well done on the captures. But further, congratulations for obscuring any potential landmarks. I see video after video, post after post online, Facebook and Instagram etc, where (usually people new to the sport) don't think twice about obscuring any giveaways of their location. As the 'sport' grows it's getting worse, to the point i get so frustrated that I have left all social media. It's def a double edged sword! Tight lines for 2021 and beyond....
