Not that i’m defending her (tbh i do find some of her videos entertaining, but still think, no, knows she’s a bad person) but the girl was a fan who ran a whatsapp for shannon fans. On her own free will. I guess she was a super fan. Shannon eventually noticed her and they became friends and were gonna go into business together (i think cause it was the girls idea) and open a forum on shannon’s website but her legal team advised against it so she didn’t go thru with it. Now i’m not sure if she wanted to partner with her so she wouldn’t have to pay US wages or just cause she wanted to help a friend out. But knowing Shannon it was most likely the former. I do believe most of her story tho as some countries don’t let you stop paying employees even if they aren’t working because they’re not essential workers either that or they’re not allowed to pay them nothing at all some countries allow for a certain amount of a pay cut in India might be one of those countries that has one of those laws in place. Plus I saw a few Indian people in the comments saying that $1400 would be enough to live comfortably for 45 minutes 4 to 5 months, so if India is one of those countries that has one of those laws in place then I could see her actually trying to extort her. But who knows. She's the ultimate clout chaser and social climber to validate herself because she doesn't want to be "boring"; it's her greatest fear. Being a normal person is not enough for her fragile ego, so she needs to feel adored and powerful, which is the emotional payout she gets from her KZbin channel and whatever comes next.
