@@Hope4human 2 years ago I already memorized 3 juz. But now in. Span of 2 years, i only memorized 2juz.. It' is difficult. 3 juz i memorized earlier are juz 29,30, half of juz 28, half of 27. All are popular surah, often read by Imam., so It is not difficult to memorize. Now i'm trying to memorize AlBaqarah.. Already memorize 230 ayats.... It's very2 difficult to memorize surah that not familiar.. My friends recommend me to often listen to murottal, so I get familiar with the surah.

I have been struggling with memorization for almost 10 years - starting many times, then leaving and coming back again. But since my last setback I lost it and convinced myself not to pursue the memorization anymore as it is too late and I'm being unrealistic about it. Just to make sure I was right, I did istikhara prayer today and payed to Allah in the Fajr to make it easy for me to decide whether it is a right choice to give up memorization and shift my focus on learning something else about the deen.. And he brought me to this video in Dhuhr prayer... I'm speechless right now and thanking Allah with all humility and tears. Please pray for me. May Allah bless you more in both worlds.

sorry for late response and thanks for sharing your concerns and thoughts. Yes, sure it is Allah who brought you to this video to hear my msg and struggles. As you heard from the video, my main intention for memorizing was to know Allah better. It was this intention that was my driving force and nothing would stop me to move forward. I was slow because I did not have the means but once I had access to resources, it was much faster. Please clear your intenton and get started. Do not leave it even a day so it becomes a habut. Always thank Allah for this blessing and ask Him for strength.

@@helpingforlife9777 are you asking as a Muslim or a non-Muslim? As Muslims we are told those who belive and do righteous deeds Will enter Jannah as well as many other categories. As for memorizing the Quran, there is no merit in mere memorizing if it is not coupled with increased faith in Allah and closeness to to Him. Once a person fully understand the Divine words even if they do not memorize, their faith and actions will correspond with the Divine words and commandments. As such the door to Jannah is open to them with God's will🌷
