It's traditional in my country to take the decor off at the earliest on the 6th of January. It's also more traditional to put them up later in your home, around Christmas Eve, so we're not fed up with them come January.

We've always taken our Christmas decorations down after January 5th. My mother's birthday was Jan 5th so she thought her parents did it for her birthday. It is actually The feast of the Epiphany (Twelfth Night)... it's the actual 12th day if Christmas. Happy Holidays Emily to you and uour lovely family!
