I've been doing great on my local estate sales. This past Thursday, I bought a random basket of stuff for $10 with about $350 worth of silver. I knew what it was when I picked it up, all in all a great find for just that one pickup. Also, $4 spent and sold within a day, a smart door lock for $230!

Let's apply that same logic elsewhere.... the local butcher has a special on bacon, $2 for 1lb, normally $8/lb. What a great deal! The butcher obviously doesn't know how good his bacon is or he never would've priced it so low. Hmmm, should you go back and give the butcher the difference because it's not fair to buy his bacon at such a reduced price? Of course not, that would be silly! The lady offered Jess $100...it would be ridiculous to instead offer her $200. Just try to look at it from a different perspective.... everyone walked away from the deal satisfied. If you or a buddy had made the same deal you'd be doing high fives. Resellers are out hitting the pavement working hard to get new items, please don't begrudge them the occasional really good deal. Jess, well done....good instinct! 💛

So, I answered a more abrasive comment on this already. But, the short of it is that we're going to have a lot of time and effort into this lot and don't know how long it will take for everything to sell. Also, it was a pretty far out sale. So, there have been times in the past I have went back and offered more. We had discussed it prior to releasing the video and for the reasons mentioned decided against it.

Maybe people should try walking in your shoes for a day...a day in the life of a reseller! It just comes from a lack of understanding all the complexities of reselling when on the surface it looks simple and the necessity of being adaptable and fluid within the reselling business. I mean of course we aim for things to be worth more than we paid. We're resellers. It's only worth what it's worth if someone is willing to split it up, research the value, list it on ebay, store it somewhere easy to access for when it sells, answer customer service questions, ship it, deal with returns, pay fees, etc. There are times in the past we've went back and gave a bit more. We did bring it up for this lot. Since, we really don't know how long a lot of this will take to sell and the amount of work involved plus the distance to the sale we decided against it this time.
