If you understand an introvert's mindset, everything that she did, from going a 7km run on a first date, making a tiktok video on a first date, making a feedback form for first date and making awkward eye contact, everything makes sense and it sounds more normal than you might think

Yeah, the criticism for the this girl is so unnecessary. It's not what you normally expect a first date to be, but so what it's not harming anyone? The guy agreed to it and seemed to like running too, what if we're just extremely unfit people? This could be normal for them. I have friends who'd go hiking for first dates, it's cute.

@@elliotw.888 It's actually normal for a 7km run for a date, but for a first date its probably something to do with how introvert thinks. I could be wrong but she probably wanted to go for a different type of date instead of the same old movie dates, somehow feeling creative. She is also looking for some activity where she feels comfortable so that she feel less awkward when initiating a conversation, introverts can interact better in a familiar environment especially when meeting someone new or doing something new (dating).

To be fair to her, if you're not comfortable with keeping eye contact, a trick is usually to look at someone's forehead or nose when talking to them. She's probably a bit awkward and used that trick a bit too obviously. From a fellow socially awkward person, kudos to her for putting herself out there honestly.

Well I suffer from the opposite. For me looking away is kinda hard..I like to know that I have the person's attention when I'm speaking. I find it kinda rude tho when someone looks away. So I guess introvert or extrovert we each have our individual struggles ?

I absolutely hate eye contact and prefer sitting next to someone when on a date rather than across a table. When my husband and I first started dating, he sat next to me automatically, and it made it nice to be closer to him and be able to speak more quietly, without the pressure of maintaining eye contact. He's neurodivergent, too - so I guess we're two weirdos that got together. :D

I don't think it's such a bad idea. It's one way to promote clear and open communication, and it shows that they actually want to know your point of view of how the date went, and is open to change/compromise! Sure it's not the most romantic thing in the world, but I'd see it as goofy and some people like that

Running is actually quite clever. It increases your heart rate, which your brain might misinterpret it as being in love. Same goes to scary rides in the theme park ('cuz adrenaline). The physiological changes that occurs when ur in love and when ur experiencing adrenaline and increasing heart beat is quite similar and the brain can sometimes be stupid enough to be tricked. Also, surviving something scary tgt draws ppl closer to each other, hence why many who went to the same concentration camps ended up marrying each other. Dating hack? Idk.

This feedback form aint new. There is an up & coming dating app in the philippines in which people can rate & review each other after some significant interaction. The creators said it promotes transparency and accountability.

I am going to sound a bit mean. You always keep the first date short and pristine. As a Asian American man who dated a lot in the past with girls of all races. Going on a date that involves running isn't good. First date should always be just a complementary to knowing each other. I'd would limit all first date to less than 1 hour and that is to include maybe a coffee grab. It's understandable that the girl is very inexperience. It's a very awkward date like how she did it so I hope she can learn how to be more better next time.

It's one of those tiktokers who try to be relatable and use self-deprecating humor, since she said 'it's her first ever date' as an 'introverted spinster'. Since dating is exciting but also humiliating, she decided to be different and come up with the 7k run, feedback form, and reduce humiliation by turning it into a social experiment tiktok? Also, idk why she would doom herself with 7km run, because what if the guy released really awful body odor, so it's like she has to suffer through the run, and then sit with the sweat smell for the 'date' 💀 As for the pie chart, it's because she's planning to send the same feedback to multiple dates so the percentage is more of how many percent of her dates think she holds eye contact well etc.. Although it looks like it will friendzone herself to most men and attract the specific type who will use the same type of humor (like the dude who used a powerpoint slide to promote himself to ladies) or overly-serious desperate creeps who will write long essays back.

If ultimate goal of dating is to end up in bed, isn't it best to find out body odor on a first date? Some people can tahan each other scent and some cannot but there is nothing wrong either way.
