Listening to this story before the end I felt no sympathy for the mother. She was emotionally abused. She allowed a spark to turn into a wildfire. Her seeking forgiveness from her mother was only fueled by her loss of her man. That is not genuine remorse. If it wasn't for Michael's integrity, the toxic cycle would have continued. Humility is a joy yet when displaced it feeds ill behavior and hardened hearts.

Michael, I admire you so much.🤗. You are THE MAN ! For real you are ! When you found out about Dera’s cruelty towards her mom, you flew into action and did what a real man would do. You are a one in a billion son in law. Thankfully your selfish and wicked wife learnt her lessons and this in turn brought out the best in her. I still don’t understand 🤔, Dera is Ekwu ‘s only child,why did she hate her mother so much? Her mother was so loving,caring,kind , understanding and compassionate, why did she treated her in such an inhumane manner?it doesn’t make sense 🤔. . I think Dera was a very mean and hateful person, but than God for Michael who made her realize the consequences of her actions. This is really an award winning story. I would give it an Oscar. So beautiful and so true it remind me of the story where the girl was black but wanted to be white. She didn’t want her mother to be seen with her and when she did she told her friends that her mother was her nanny. But the ending was so sad her mother died from a broken heart. At the end of the story she came running to the casket crying and telling her mother she was sorry and she loved her. But it was too late her mother couldn’t hear her then. So your story is a lesson to help us appreciate those who love us because other than Jesus no one can love you like a real mother. God Bless You!

The mother failed to demonstrate that she were worthy of respect. Not fear that some parents achieve through abuse and punishments, but sincere admiration and respect. This is really quite interesting: any behavior a child has ever exhibited, they have learned from watching someone else do. One reason they don’t respect their parents is because they might be mimicking the behavior of their rebellious friends/neighbors/siblings/parents. If a family member showed disrespect to another out of anger, the child mimics this when they are angry because they believe this is the correct way to express their feelings.🤔🤔🤔
