I honestly find both shows baffling at how they can take characters that have been proven to work and then butcher them to such an extent. Batwoman/batgirl has been represented many, many times and successfully, even the more modern example of the harley quinn show (which in terms of DC is amongst the best animated series if you ask me) makes her an alright character, far from great like Harley and the rest but still a fairly good/average character that isn't inherently bad. She Hulk has even been portrayed in animated series before and once again it was done somewhat well. TL;DR if they actually bothered to research the well writtens characters they were making a show about we might've not ended up with this, emphasise on the "might".

Well, in the comics She-Hulk did pull a scandalous act during work and photocopied her butt on the copy machine and ended up breaking it though we don't actually see her doing it so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to see She-Hulk do something as shameless as twerking at work but at least on the former, she ended up facing negative repercussions for it and got fired. Here the show is bending itself backwards to where "Oh it's okay if a woman does it." and have Jennifer Walters do whatever she wants.

Not to mention it would give us more insight to how she manages her powers or how they work. The scene that comes to mind is in Black Lightning season 2 where Anissa tells Jen that jogging is good for the lungs, which means she can hold her breath longer, which means she can use her powers longer. (we also find out in that scene that neither of them have had cramps with a period since their powers kicked in, which is information I didn't personally need, but interesting nonetheless) Scenes like that are cool! But of course, that would require actual brainpower, and it's pretty clear none of that's on display here.

What I found hilarious (not in the way they intended) was that, through Jen, they had to exposit who Megan Thee Stallion was because even THEY realized no one watching would know or care who she is. I remember a time when a celebrity didn’t need the expository build up on a show. If Sammy Davis Jr guest starred on a show, a character wouldn’t go “Sammy Davis Jr. You know? The Candy Man? Grammy winning singer? Former Rat Pack member?” Because he was that well known and beloved. I sincerely doubt anyone would give a crap about this cow (More like Megan Thee Heifer) within a year.

I've seen other reviewers approach the media backlash scene the same way you did. I don't think what you are saying is wrong, just that the most obvious criticism is that those comments and videos of people complaining don't work within the context of the universe. "Just make your own heroes" doesn't make sense within the MCU, because heroes are not made in a factory or by some company. All those comments share that same issue. I think that is the more relevant point than if it is a back handed way to make fun of their critiques. They were so petty that they had to include them in as a haha moment and by doing so they created an entire scenario that is incongruous with the MCU as a world.

A lot of the criticisms that were highlighted in episode 3 were straw men. They're simplistically represented points that are set up to be easily defeated. They don't address the real criticisms of the show, the MCU, or the studio.

That said, the criticisms there are the same ones these people respond to in real life. I've seen recent interviews by access media, where they lob softball questions, and the responses are basically the counterarguments to what was lobbed in episode 3. (people are upset women are superheroes, etc). So the writers in the show, and in the real world talking about the show, all portray the criticisms the same. And the defenders of the show who aren't access media, operate from that same script. It's sad, really.

I made the exact same point you made at 11:58 to a bunch of people who enjoyed the show but unfortunately only got braindead reactions along the lines of "the writers explained it in episode 2, they hired her to be She-Hulk in the office". This bugs me to no end, as they wasted money on CGI having She-Hulk in an overly large pantsuit in the office. For God's sake, WHY? Instead of having Tatiana Maslany act (which she can, she's an expressive actress) they did uncanny valley facial mo-cap that looks like crap and which probably cost them a lot of money. WHY??? Just reserve the She-Hulk moments for when the character actually DOES something exciting!
