Her having a "normal amount of rage" is to be expected. Bruce Banner witnessed his abusive father beating his mother to death when he was a little kid. The Hulk was essentially born in that moment. The Hulk is that child, needing to be "The Strongest One There Is" so that no one can hurt him or the people he loves again. That's part of why the Hulk won't come out after Thanos no-sells him: if he can't protect his friends, what use is The Hulk? He was ashamed. Bruce Banner had a lot of trouble integrating The Hulk and Banner because he had a nascent Multiple Personality Disorder issue going on, which the gamma mutation essentially externalized. Jennifer had a much better childhood, no "decade of unaddressed trauma," and thus a much narrower gap between She-Hulk and Jennifer. She-Hulk is basically what Jennifer represses, same as Hulk is what Banner represses, but she represses a desire to be free to act and express herself without fear of reprisal, and he represses pain and guilt over powerlessness and a metric ass-load of bottled-up anger. So, yeah, just a "normal amount of rage".

Honestly, I hope they not only introduce Skaar, but eventually introduce both of his canon daughters. One he has with Monica Rapunicci (sp?), and the other he has with an amazon queen (Thundara) from an alternate future. It's actually canon in the comics that Bruce has slept with more women than Tony has, and has a "conquest" that Tony will never hope to achieve, specifically Umar, the sister to the Dread Dormammu. Although it was her idea, she requested that Hulk, would sleep with her in return for helping the comics version of the Defenders (Hulk, Dr. Strange, Namor, and Silver Surfer) stop her brother from conquering our universe and absorbing it into the dark dimension. Hulk was so relaxed afterward that not only did he turn back into Banner, he couldn't transform into Hulk for an entire 24 hour period afterwards. And that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to the sheer number of lovers Banner/Hulk has had. But none he loved as much as Caeria, so no wonder he went on a world wrecking crusade when she died.

The difference from the comics was that Jennifer only ever broke the fourth wall (or did any of her other hyper-sanity tricks of knowing she’s in a comic) when she was in Hulk form. John Byrne, the guy who introduced it, maintained that it was a super-power of the She-Hulk. (Similar to how Wade Wilson didn’t start doing it until after he became Deadpool.)

I think the first time Jennifer changes after being cut and having Bruce’s blood enter her bloodstream, she actually is the full Hulk form and not the one we see through the episode, one because the grunts and roars were much more primal, and we don’t get to see her face without the distortion in the reflection of the car door. Also she directly quotes that she “can’t remember” what happened the first time she changed, which suggests she wasn’t in the driving seat. I think we may see at the tail end of the series (possibly the final mid/end credits scene). What I think the point they’re making about Jen’s ability to control herself reflected in how she has traversed life in the patriarchal system. Overall great opener, but I put money on Jennifer has the primal Hulk in her and that’s when she’ll need to go back to Bruce for advice, but hopefully not before we see Bruce/Smart Hulk knock out a fully Hulked out Jennifer. 🤞🏽

I think one of my favorite scenes was when Jen was in the ladies room of the bar she ended up in and all of the women came in and helped clean her up and saying "he isn't worth it" mistaking her condition for getting beat up by a boyfriend. I also love the Captain America virginity theories. All in all an enjoyable first episode.

Interesting that you say it is an Ultron helmet in the hut. The descriptive audio for the episode says, "She finds Tony Stark's damaged Iron Man mask on a stand and touches it delicately." So, either the descriptive audio is wrong or Emergency Awesome is. The descriptive audio does make an error during the title when describing the characters in the logo as it says Captain Marvel while Ms. Marvel is on the screen, so it is not a foolproof source, but it might be worth a second look.

When it comes to her hang over, it still makes sense. Bruce said they metabolize alcohol super fast, but it's not left over alcohol that gives you a hang over, it's the byproduct of alcohol that makes you hung over. So they're just making that byproduct way faster than most of us haha
