Did anyone else think that she was going to put the cute red bandanas on the back of the jeans as pockets for a contrast? Lol!

It would be pretty with bananas as well. Autocorrect often changes the words we type FYI. I wouldn’t worry about it. Yellow bandanas or bananas, we know what you meant. 😋

Placemat idea is cute. I would suggest making an extra one with the pocket for cutlery on the left hand size to cater for those of us who are left handed. Ahh, it's such a right handed world !

"Porch idea": I thought that the end project would be a pretty and inexpensive shade cloth for the porch. I like the using an old tablecloth someone mentioned earlier.

And the first thing that will happen is as soon as the person sits down they will somehow manage to grab the excess placemat and pull the whole setting into their lap. Have seen it happen with my grandchildren and a bowl of spaghetti bolognese..don't know how they manage to pull it on themselves but they do..never a good idea to have excess hanging over the table..
@grandmajane25933 ай бұрын
The younger generation doesn't seem to be able to handle the nicest things of the old days; like tableclothes, placemants, etc. It's too bad.
@yolandaa.h.34213 ай бұрын
I'm adding the disclaimer... Lol PLEASE DO NOT WEAR ANYTHING WITH THESE BANDANAS ANY OLE PLACE. DIFFERENT COLORS REPRESENT DIFFERENT GANGS AND "SETS". WRONG COLOR IN WRONG PLACE WILL NOT BE SAFE.
@pricer393 ай бұрын
I never heard of this! Good to know. I had a miscarriage and put a bumper sticker on my car that said, "Angel". Two Latino guys were waiting for me at my car when I came out of the dollar store. When they saw that I was just an old lady. They rolled their eyes and left. I had also bought a broom stick with which I was ready to fight if necessary. Are there any particular colors to especially avoid? Would tan or yellow be ok? Thanks in advance, honey!
@grandmajane25933 ай бұрын
That's surprising. I bought several of these bandanas in the Dollar General because I was intending to make pockets to dress up my denim jacket a little bit. I don't think we have awful gangs in the little rural town where I live. We mostly suffer from speeders not criminals.
@jamiejones4263 ай бұрын
@@pricer39Black, red and blue are the biggest colors that gangs use big time. I wouldn’t chance it. They don’t care if you’re old, young, it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing the wrong color because that’s all they see.

Both of these bandanna projects turned out great! But I like the reversible placemats the best. It’s not only pretty, but it’s also practical and a little less expensive to make. I would cut an old, or cheap tablecloth or curtain into pieces to create the reverse side of the placemats. Or just use fabric remnants along with the bandannas. Solid color fabric could be used to alternate the “petals” of the sunflower too. This would eliminate the need to purchase so many bandannas for these projects. Thanks for sharing.
