I'm so nervous about this video... Usually when I'm not absorbed in a true crime case I'm usually into a thriller/mystery book so I thought I would try something new and have a cozy book club type vibe with baking... idk if the feeling delivered well into the video so let me know what you think! ALSO THE MIC IS A SHITSHOW... sorry we're working on perfecting the audio ):

But do you remember in the end he says "And then I went to catch another one(snowflake)" that's kinda confusing.

Also “I didn’t kill him I just pulled the trigger”, I don’t know why but that is so deep to me. It’s like she’s saying I didn’t ruin him he was already dead inside from doing horrible things. Also he’s dead in her eyes because she realizes that the man she loved was so far from who she thought he was. So i actually understand what she’s trying to say. He died metaphorically already, she just pulled the trigger and ended things.

I’ve read this book multiple times and I want to say that one scene you skipped that I felt was really important was when Theo couldn’t confront his wife about her infidelity. It was really heartbreaking when everything came crashing down and he was sobbing silently while his wife was sleeping next to him. I think this was the turning point for him and you can see from a male’s perspective just how vulnerable men can be.

@rebeccamorningglory60114 жыл бұрын
@@coltjames9159 I know you didn't ask for my overtly complicated analysis of tropes in literature, but here we go. I don't think it is like the slogan, because she claimed that she didn't kill him the gun did. In other words it's like a uno reverse of it, "I don't kill people, guns kill people." would be more of what she was trying to say. The only similarities I see is that both quotes include guns. Now this type of defense, (blaming the method/weapon used in a murder rather than the person) seems to show up a lot when a murderer tries to explain themselves in television and books such as people claiming if they drowned a person that they didn't kill them the water did etc. I always wondered why this type of reasoning shows up, was there a really old high profile case that I never learned about? Do people find it such a twisted way of looking at the world too creepy not to include? I wonder about it a lot.

I personally didn’t enjoy the book itself that much when I read it, but her retelling of it is so captivating lol

I’ve got like 3 or 4 books to listen too but I keep coming back to these. So immersive and straight to the point 😭

I know everyone from the BISS community already knew how good of a story-teller Stephanie is, but it still amazes me how she can remember all the important details and tell the story like it is considering how complicated the story is. I just read the book too and I am still in shock at the ending, so I came here to refresh all important details from the previous chapters and Stephanie freaking did the job!

Steph is literally the best story teller her expressions are absolutely on point and the way she explains the story makes you feel like your apart of the story or something and on top of that it feels like your actually stephs best friend I honestly love steph 😂💕

22 minutes in rn. i think, as an artist myself, that the reason she killed him and then tried to claw the therapist's eyes out is because of the fact that she couldnt get the eye shine right in the painting.

HOW COME I CAN'T READ ONE CHAPTER WHEN I TRIED READING " The Silent Patient" I NEVER FINISHED 6 PAGES, BUT WHEN I CAN WATCH STEPHANIE TELL THE STORY FOR AN HOUR... ANYWAYS- Also! The story is really like the mythology story where the husband saves the wife, but on the way they can't talk to each other or else the husband will die. The she accidentally or "accidentally" talked, and he died.
