Since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine two years and two months ago, russia has occupied territories in the east of Ukraine: whole villages, towns, and cities under occupation. Life under occupation is unimaginable as one is at constant risk of physical danger. But another weapon of russian terror is demoralisation; making Ukrainians feel isolated and forgotten by their motherland. Here’s the story of Svitlana, our volunteer who has evacuated from the russian occupation, and is now safe.
