I am in the hotel business and as , Africans we do not understand that customer service is every thing. we need to train our people in customer service that should be our priority instead of focusing on just the profit. The customer is always right. As Africans we have to change our mindset on how we treat our customers.

They always leave nuggets of wisdom, and Serwaa was particularly transparent and forthcoming with information. Many of our folks will not be as open with information and pitfalls of the restaurant industry. One of the ingredients of success when in the food preparation and making business is location. She is in some serious prime location. Very very difficult to get a spot at Airport. Kudos to her for being at the Airport Residential area, where high income earners hang out. And she is right, the food business is not easy and for the faint hearted. You need to hire the right employees, and the the turnover can be high. And this directly impacts customer service. She possesses the entrepreneurial sprit and she will do very well. Your camera and angles were superb. Top notch picture quality too. Keep the content flowing and we are here for it!

Tati, I enjoyed watching this video. Well done asking all the important questions. Next time I would like to know more about the finances, the capital to start the business. Did they bring the money into the country? Did she have investors, bank loans, inheritance, etc? I know you can’t just open a restaurant without having a capital. Thank you as always. If it wasn't tasty, her business would have collapsed by now, instead moving on to open several branches. Those spices are the ones killing you slowly. The little ginger/garlic, pepper, and salt will be good enough for these healthy, local dishes. You can add all the extra salt and MSG to your food if you want.

Sometimes, foods that have grown in good and rich soil do not need much seasoning. My late mother would go for prime quality food and would not use much on seasoning and spice. But, her food was the best in our street. She just knew how and when to mix those ingredients. Miss you mama.
