Speaking of steamer trunks....do you know why some are flat topped and some are rounded? The flat ones were for the "common folk" and could be stacked one upon each other. The rounded ones were for the wealthier people and since nothing could safely be stacked on top of the rounded lids they had to go on top of the pile of trunks. (P.s.....sorry about your Jack.)

The wooden utensil the lady mistakenly identified as a knitting tool is actually a coco or chocolate mixer from Mexico and sells for around 3.00 to 5.00 $. It is held between both palms and spun back and forth. I love your videos and thank you for sharing❤

Last Christmas my daughter-in-law asked for some Mexican dark chocolate disks to make hot chocolate, I purchased one of those frothers at the same time, it's great!

Minute 12:47 that tool is not for knitting it’s called molinillo and it’s for prepare hot chocolate it’s from Mexico too used to solve solid chocolate bars into hot milk or water and you tourn it between your hands to obtain a good amount of foam. By the way I’m Mexican and cheers from Mexico!

OMGosh I thought the bananas were real! I loved House of Lloyd! I still have my apple bowl set. You were picking up the deals like crazy, even the bird book is an amazing deal. They retain good value. Poor Jack. I am so sorry 😞 I did want to make a recommendation to Rachel, if she watches KZbin there's a channel called tamaras blue chicken. She has the sweetest blue Indian ring neck bird, named Kiwi, and he is the cutest bird. He's 2 ½ and has a good vocabulary. It's a good clean channel. It makes laugh when I need it.

I don't beleive I have ever seen banana salt/pepper shakers. Loved the rocking chair and stand. Loved the tablecloth the Bauer pottery was on. The Mexican tablecloth was beautiful. The rest of the Bauer will be wonderful if you can agree on the price..what a Motherlode!! You made your money back from just the Bauer pieces alone!! The other stuff are just trinkets compared to them!!🤠🤠 Ohh..what about the fish pics..you didn't show the value on them. Bye Jack..

I have seen those wooden - you called them mashers - used on the BGBS and they're used to raise the pastry to form a small meat pie, generally a pork pie. Very cool. Great haul. And those pictures will look fantastic in your home

Great book. James Audubon used to “unalive” the birds he painted so he could get up close to see their detail… I didn’t know this until recently 😢… he spent months alone in the woods studying them.

Hola Danni ~ i wanted so many things in this video. the blue glass is my favorite glass to collect , the floor speakers, car slippers, the banana s&p's, sooo many others and the Pashmina shawl i squealed in delight💖 lol it is GORGEOUS . i went back after the video and paused and stared at it loveingly. i'm trying to move right now and sadly can't buy anything but if i could it would definitely would have been that shawl. ...i'm sorry about Jack a part of him will live on ~ God Bless girly 🥰

And yes, on a $10 item it goes down to 14% ( .$0.30 insertion fee, 2.9% PayPal .$030, and 8% Whatnot fee $.80. Unfortunately since postage is determined by $4 minimum and if is only costs $0.55 to ship,(example I received 2 silver liberty dimes from an auction and paid $4 shipping) the were in a small envelope. This means the buyer is paying a huge premium to Whatnot and will not be able to bid as much. I have been deterred many times from bidding high because of a $5 shipping on a blouse the weighed less than a lb and should only cost $2 -3. That extra $2 or$3 could have been put towards the bidding price. So seller losses out on that money.

I was going to try and start selling on Whatnot, but their fees (as high as 41%) are way too high. Not sure if that has changed since I last looked. $0.30 cents insertion fee for each auction item (each in a bundle as well if person wins several auctions), 2.9% for them to collect your money, 8% on the selling price (not included taxes of shipping) and shipping is insane. If you ship for less, Whatnot keeps the rest! As much as I hate eBay, it is not only way cheaper (still expense) at least you can make more money per item plus overage on shipping. Unfortunately, eBay kind of averages about 15 % fees because they charge their fees on shipping that you don't profit from. Also, since eBay almost always lets the customer win disputes, sellers have to calculate in those losses. eBay doesn't make it easy for seller to dispute a return and sometimes a srller has to wait forever to get paid. Whatnot fees can be as high as 41% on a one dollar item: 8% - $0.08 + 2.9% - $0.03 + $0.30= $0.41 fees on $1.00...rediculous. Only good thing is that Whatnot collects money form winner immediately.
