In the US, there are two major country singles charts covered by Billboard media and data- tracked by Luminate. Consider this, your first 7 years living took your whole lifetime at that point to complete, Iiving 7 years for a person 56 means they only spent 15 % of their lifetime to have the same amount of time 7 years to pass, if you ever feel like time passes faster as we grow older? Ub a sense it does by it iccupying less of a percentage of timevsomeonevhasclived, it makes time seem to pass faster to us subconciously This happens because we we base any block of time not on how long it is independently but on the percentage of our lives that block of time has consumed of our existence to pass so it took forever to reach the age to get a drivers license but it seemed like that same time block for ones child to grow to the same age flew by. It took you 100% of your life to turn 16 andcget a license, if youvwe 48bwhwn your child did the same at 16, you would see tjat same time block of 16 years omly beimg 1/3 of your lifetime making the same 16 years seem like they went by 3 rimes faster tjan whenvyou dragged along to that age. your time blocks are based not only on the tome tjey avtually ate, but the percentage of time taken im ones lifetime wgich makes time seem to sccellerate as we get older. Makingv7 years, as you commented go by quick As you said, 7 years goes by fast. , but if you were48 when they got their license you would have i ly spent 1/3 of your lifetime seeing rhem get to that age that in your time literally took you forever to accomplish. We base time in our current time alive so a person who get the ripe old age of 5 had to spend 20% of their lifetime to be a 5 year old from their 4th birthday where I for instance, at over 50 years old, spend onlyv 2 % or less of my lifetime waiting to do the samecand be a yeat older. subconsciously it makes people feel like time goes by continually getting faster as we grow older. faster feel like time is accelleratong as we age when we look at time, we measure it based on its own values, a minute, hour week or year byt when we incorporate ut into our timeline we see it as a percentage but where we consuder time as it relates to us personally, we subconciously view it as a percentage of our total life lived so a year to someone 10 years old has them seeng it as 10 percent of their whole life where I at over 50 see it as only 2% in comparison to my total time living, so using a lower percentage leaves the person to see it as time speeding up as they get older .
