Great overnight camp! Good food, beautiful fire, loyal furry friend watching out for you... what could be better? That fry bread looked absolutely toothsome! Maise sure did her bite justice - I could hear her crunching it... I was tickled that she took the time to chew it. It's a very hard thing to have to help a loved pet cross over...I think, though, if they could tell you, they would say its ok and thank you for loving them enough to make that hard decision.

Just this past week my dear friend’s mama transitioned - my friend borrowed my outdoor fire pit and did an all night sit from dusk to dawn honoring her mom. Many people came by to share stories, sing songs, recite poetry and just hold a space in their heart. It is a beautiful act to celebrate those who have touched our hearts. I had a cat who passed away when she was 18 yrs old. She camped all of her life, We put a cat harness on her, when she was just a baby, took her to Spruce Knob in WV and she would catch mice when she was tied up to a long thin rope, with a pulley wheel on it, so she could run. She loved camping, and traveling in the vehicles too, as long as she could see where she was at, she was a happy camper. We love our pets, and life would be so boring without them too. Sorry for your loss Brooke, but memories are never lost, they continue on with us, until we meet them again.

I sure have had a lot of loss with my beloved animals as well.. thing is , no matter how much you try to prepare in knowing they don’t live long, I could never be fully prepared for the loss. I have found, as strange as it may sound though that sometimes throughout me 60 years in this earth I will find that I have other animals who came into my life that will often be so much like one that I loved earlier in my life.. makes me feel like their soul came back to me it was somehow popped back up with me along the way when I didn’t notice. Just so much like one I loved so much as a child.. I hope you have this experience. It’s been very comforting. Love, Mama Telle❤️🙏

The Lord shares his creatures with us, and we do our very best to care for them. Sadly the Lord brings them home, so much sooner than we would want. And as my vet says, sometimes, the best thing we can do- is to ease their suffering. We are blessed to have those amazing creatures, and thankfully, the Lord shares more of them- with us. I hope you kept your glove, because it would be easy enough to repair. It melted, because the cuff was NOT fully cotton. If you know of a knitter in your area, they can knit a new cuff for you easily... but this time, go with a wool yarn. Then sew the new cuff back on. I have learned, that when I get Brookes' notifications... I'd better get my supper ready, or she will just make me hungry. Thanks for sharing another night in the woods.

Hi 'Girl in the Woods' I have been watching all your sessions with family and friends and of course lately by myself. I look forward to watching both old and new sessions. I lost my cat Minot on 12/29/21, I couldn’t speak about it for two days without crying. I have.three dogs and five more cats, all rescues, all unique, all beloved; I have done this my whole life and each and every loss hurt terribly. God bless you dear sister, I know this happened awhile back about your dear kitty son Jesse, and I was very sad to hear the news. I watch your channel as a way to relax and you make me smile! Hugs, Denise
