This is probably the only kdrama among the list of my top favorites that I find so hard to rewatch. Putting myself through hell once is enough. I have never bawled so many times in a single kdrama and I’ve watched a lot of tearjerker kdrama before this one but it still takes the cake so far. I cried for almost every character who died here. It was just one death after another among those people I was attached to.

To me He made the show it would not be half as good without him. I believe most of the women that watch the show fell in love with him. My heart felt like it was tearing apart when I saw him suffer so. I would love to see a part 2 but Lee Joon Gi and IU would definitely need to be the leads or it wouldn't work.

He carried this show. His acting is impeccable.. Everyone brought their A game, but his nuanced acting stood out. I looked forward to seeing how he would deliver each scene and was always bowled over. He sold his character well. He really drew us in and felt each scene with him. Hence, we were so moved with what happened to his character.

The drama was very sad with its many deaths but what made it really hard for me was Hae Soo's change in character. Her whole persona changed. She was once an outspoken, bubbly, funny and innocent girl who made everyone happy but later became the opposite because of what she had to go through in the palace. 😭🤧It's heart breaking.

The cast here actually was perfect, from IU, to JOON GI every single character and the actors who played the roles did an amazing job here, don't understand why people think that IU was not a good choice for this role, cause she did an amazing job in my prospective, even though this drama gave me a huge TRAUMA, but still I enjoyed it, from it's acting to the story line and their osts... it was really good... but I still do wish if they could make another season so that at least we could move forward from this trauma... but either way, I loved it.

Many commentators on various sites discuss this ending as "terrible" or "the worst" ending. True love can only be achieved through genuine cost and sacrifice and freely; time nor distance cannot erase nor separate genuine love. These two are merely separated by the hour; not the reality or power of their love. With God or Love, "all things are possible". They are indeed destined to meet again for thus is the nature of true authentic love _Want to see a "Bad" ending watch "Goodbye My Princess" or a "Sad" ending; "The Wolf". The Wolf is however is exceptional._
