I think the counselor should have tried to get her to safety first, then have this conversation. Sometimes as believers we spend time going over the past and then people get hurt or may turn completely away from the Lord. Also, we have to pray and ask God how to approach certain situations so that he can give us his wisdom to handle the matter. We must remember that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. No path we ever take surprises the Lord and no matter how far we have moved from him, he still provides a way of escape for us out of every temptation. Dealing with an abused person is a ministry in itself. Reminding them that they were advised not to go into a relationship or marriage can sometimes make matters worse because they feel more ashamed and sometimes they withdraw completely and suffer alone or end up dead. Pray for God's wisdom and guidance before dealing with them. Very informative

This is what I experienced in my past Marraige, the same language this man used was his ringtone, you can’t prosper if I don’t ( this was before marriage and after Marriage language.) and guess what a day to me going to record my song in studio he beats me like a child publicly, I still went on to recon the tracks sege pro max marriage and he was the all nice looking handsome caring guy to people, but a day came God saved me. Sister never ignore the red flags. Never ignore Old School Godly teachings, they are divine directions for you.
