You got this girly! You can do it. It gets easier every day, trust me. Just keep walking and never look back. Also, eww I feel so bad for that first girl!! That guy dropped her off at her house, so he knew exactly where she lives. That's very unsettling.

As an ex-smoker, you have to remember it's the addiction that wants more nicotine... It's the voice in your head wanting more, but you are only physicaly addicted for 45 hours... If you fall off the wagon, DO NOT STRESS about it or feel guilty, shit happened, just dust yourself off, and get back on the wagon... Hell knows, if my lungs wouldnt fall out, I would be rolling a cig right now... BUT... err... 3 years without a smoke \o/ And I'm allergic to vaps, and I used gum to quit.

Girl, first off, it's hard to quit cold turkey so take it slow at first if it helps. I'm going through a divorce, a single mom and quit smoking..I cut back first. Take it at the level best for YOU! You got this🖤
@paigeharris9909
@paigeharris9909 2 жыл бұрын
From experience it's better just to quit and not look back. If you "take it slow" you'll never do it. So don't throw her off course. Sorry I hope that last part didn't sound rude. I just know how hard it is to quit. And if someone tempts you, you will probably take it.
@chelseasanders6480

@@paigeharris9909 I guess it depends on the person. I cut back and then quit but I also have other medical conditions and didn't want to trigger a seizure from stopping something so quick. I do agree though!

@@chelseasanders6480 yes that's true. I guess it depends on the person. You are very strong for doing it that way. When I try to limit myself, it never works out!

@@paigeharris9909 I feel like it's definitely easier to just quit. Even though I did it by cutting back it was hard because I was still doing it. The mindset helps. I cut back for about two weeks and then stopped altogether. It's hard regardless but I feel just stopping and not looking back would be much more sufficient.

the last story about the serial killer is about Shawn M. Grate! i recognized him by the descriptions of the victims you gave sadly. it happened in 2016 and let me tell you the 911 phone call from the survivor is so frustrating simply by the 911 operator asking her so many questions as she’s trying to be quiet😪 the girlfriend from high school you mentioned was actually pregnant with his child at the time he tried to strangle her… both times i’m pretty sure. i recommend watching the 911 audio released and the interrogation of grate too if you’re interested cause i thought it was a pretty disturbing and interesting case

I've never been a smoker but my cousin quit and she told me it helped her to find something to do with her hands & mouth bc you get so used to holding a cigarette, or vape in your case in her mouth and hands it made her feel antsy if she didn't have something. She started using straws to drink water or whatever you are drinking and playing video games or something with her hands. She said that helped her too. I think she also did the patches and that's why chewing gum helps too

As someone who personally felt invisible I guess to nicotine really underestimated the addicted nicotine can bring. I went to a friends for a week and all they do is smoke so I socially did it as well and now I'm having the hardest time going without it. I know I wont buy a pack for myself simply, because I don't need it but just that one week of smoking 3 cigs a day it caused me to be dependent on it.

Quitting is extremely hard, I was able to quit (due to Covid fucking my lungs up) after 15 years of smoking, several of those years I also vaped. The first few days are the worst. Try to find something else that’s orally stimulating for you that’ll help keep you distracted from wanting to smoke such as chewing gum or a toothpick, eating sunflower seeds, I personally use the slime licker roller candy it’s helped me so much🙏🏻🙌🏻 I wish you the best of luck you’re doing great already! Hey, don't take this the wrong way but I'm really proud of you. Quitting nicotine is not easy. I believe in you! I'm a chronic pain patient and I decided to quit drinking cokes(i commented on your Twitter last night) at the same time we are lowering my pain meds(I have been on them too long and my body is too used to them, plus we want to try for another baby, maybe). So yeah, we can be on this journey together. Cokes are no way close to nicotine, I know, but hard is hard, right? Thankfully, Texas expanded their compassionate use act so I'm getting relief from my cannabis gummies but I hate the feeling so I can only take a nibble at a time. Lol. You got this, girl!

It took me an entire year to fully stop wanting a cigarette when I quit. After like 2 to 3 months I was over it but every now and then I'd smell it and feel relaxed and crave one. But it was like craving a childhood memory - I knew I couldn't go back. The physical stuff doesn't take more than a month or two. Don't worry. My husband smoked throughout my quitting and still does and I don't even want to be around it anymore. It's been 10 years for me. You will do it. I tried a few times got far then went back to it then quit again. The last time is all you need. It doesn't matter how you got to the last one. No matter how many failed attempts. It will happen when you're ready to breakthrough the mental addiction. Everyday for months on end. That's why it sucks. That year mark without a cigarette you are truly free.

I still smoked, but not nicotine, I started smoking lavender as a tobacco replacement (because I still enjoy smoking w33d)

Ok so, a tip from someone who quit for 7 years, dont use NRT to 100% replace your habit right out the door, it would be very very difficult. Since a large part of the habit and the craving is the physical motion of vaping/smoking. use the patches and/or other NRT products to cut DOWN the use of vape's/number of cigerettes smokes over time. It will help keep cravings under control etc. Ofc this is only really useful if you find going 100% vape free too tricky. I also heard sucking on frozen grapes can apparently help with the cravings but I have no experience with that personally so can not confirm nor deny. Either way you choose to handle it, good lucj!

I know you can do it & I'm very sure it will make you feel better once you quit completely. It is an addiction & makes you react yhe same as other dangerous drugs. You should be proud you're on your 2nd day! Which you should celebrate. I hear most people give up on their first day. I think what might help if you chew gun or a candy? Exercise, if you're still go to the gym or workout at home. Also, telling all your viewers that you want to quit will also help. Viewers would want to support you as much as friends & family. Lastly, Celebrate your accomplishments knowing you have a treat or a prize always helps, too.

You can do it, we believe in you! If you truly cannot bring yourself throw your vape away, and I know a lot of people have trouble with that, have someone else do it for you. Go into another room, have them come get it, take it out of the house and dispose of it elsewhere. This will be more incentive as well because you then would have to go buy a whole new one to get the next fix. Sleeping is good, playing video games, trying to learn a new skill is a very good one because you're using more of your attention to understand the skill you're trying to learn. If you like to bake, I suggest trying to learn how to make macaroons as they one of the hardest treats to make that will keep you occupied and give you a sense of accomplishment once you get them down and have kept your cravings under control
