I saw this film on KZbin when it first came out. Great that the full movie with subtitles is available again now too. This movie is so good-I loved it. Magnetic chemistry and steamy love scenes. I saw an interview with Ina where she said they went back and filmed the love scenes again because they were too gentle. Lucky gals! My only complaint was the daughter looked nothing like either of them, which I found distracting. During their first kiss, a cup falls and breaks-this is a positive sign, a symbol of good fortune to come. I believe this was a German made for TV film. Uncanny how similar Ina and Cate look-wonder if they have ever met?

My only complaint was Marie's (Ina Weisse) husband -- very unattractive and unappealing in every way whatsoever, making it hard to believe she would ever have been attracted to him in the first place, much less want to MARRY him. Zero chemistry. Bad casting. A complete mismatch and unrealistic. So he was the big distraction for me. Marie was way too beautiful for him. Ayla and her husband were a more believable match.

For a WLW film that was made for TV, it's pretty impressive I got to admit. You only feel the budget when it comes to guests at the wedding and dance club scenes. Besides that it could pass easily for a solid indie film. Ina Weisse, does look like Cate Blanchett also another Aussie actress Anna Trov. She's excellent in this. Really shows the struggles she has coming to terms with her feelings for Ayla. I got to be honest I've only seen Weisse in Never Look Away and the film she directed with the great Nina Hoss (another Blanchett connection with Tar) called The Audition. Erika Marozsan who plays Ayla, is Hungarian but has done a lot of German films. I remember her for 1999 film Gloomy Sunday and one of the Tom Berenger Sniper sequels and she's done one or two Hollywood films like the Rock's Hercules. But she's great here as Ayla, sultry and fun and you can see why Marie would fall for her. It does have some of usual WLW film tropes in there, some might not like one of getting pregnant and they still sleep with their men after they get together. But you got some sex scenes (for TV in 2014, it's pretty steamy) and both actresses really go for it when they are kissing. No little peck on the lips here. And you don't get the usual struggle and angst of these films when it 90% of the film before someone kisses someone. They are already kissing by 10 minutes in. It's definitely two thumbs up for this one. At 1hr 29mins, it's a easy watch. Not too much angst either. Both actresses have great chemistry. It's on Dailymotion with Eng Subtitles.

A humble recomendation. An anime, its name is Bloom into you. One of the all time greatest sapphic/lesbian stories. Only 13 episodes. To continue you should read the manga from chapter 25. It is finished with a total of 45 chapters. Its wonderful!
