I can't imagine being so cold towards an innocent foal that was ripped away from her mom and shipped away for sale. I'm sure she was terrified. It just shows why wonderful horses at the auction get put down. There should be more people who truly care about them. If I had the aptitude to buy them just to save them, I would. I was one of the ones that said she was shut down because i knew she had gone through so much( I don't blame her for shutting down, poor baby) but not for one minute did I think she was worthless(how dare someone say that!) and I knew she was in the perfect place to be able to come into her own and just blossom and that is exactly what happned! Y'know what? You really did have all the right horses with you at all the right times so Ariel could grow the way she has. I agree that Ariel's journey started when you got Belle and discovered she was carrying Esmeralda. Both she and Ezzy got to become friends and grow together like foals in a typical herd would. Ariel's final transformation didn't happen until after you got Beauty. Beauty basically finished her upbringing in horsey ways. And in-between all of this was your love, care, and basic training. Ariel has truly been set up for success in all ways, and look at how far she's come! She's going to be started under saddle like it's nothing lol and I see great potential for liberty considering she bowed on her own xD She thinks it's fun, and she gets a treat, so she'll do it again!

I have watched Ariel from the beginning. I never had any doubts, in her or you. As a person who has in the past bought unhandled foal before, I understand the process you have done. Ariel is an amazing beautiful filly. I truelly believe in the yrs to come she will become a heart horse. If not for you, then some lucky person down the road. I've been looking forward to the anniversary of Ariel's gotcha day! edited to add: I keep thinking back to the choice at the auction between Ariel and the darker roan. Even then, Shae knew the friendlier foal would be fine just about anywhere - and that Ariel needed someone who was willing to do whatever it took to earn her trust. I am genuinely excited to see Ariel start competing in the in-hand classes.
