Excellent story! I enjoyed it very much and thank you for the few visuals. I'm a visuals person so not having to look at one picture all the way through is awesome!👍🏼❤️👍🏼❤️

Wonderfully heartwarming story, best part is that it breaks away from the cookie cutter rehashed stories I have gotten tired of reading.

First, great story! Second, where FTL travel is theoretically possible and scientists and physicists are trying to figure it out. Their primary concerns should be inertial dampeners and artificial gravity! Without them just the jump to light speed would turn a person into mush on the back wall! Four thumbs up for the story 👍👍👍👍

A nice story. I am astonished about the human with 3 legs in the AI pictures😅

Excluding the scene of the father with 3 legs, I rather enjoyed this story.

Good story, but remember, our galaxy is 100,000 light years across. At the speed of light, it would take 200,000 years to go from one end to the other. Our closest star system is Alpha Centauri, only 4.3 light years away, BUT !!! even at the speed of light travel, it would still take 11,000 years to make that journey A lot of these stories have good learning lessons in them, but they are just stories. Stay grounded and stay real.

I like your analogy. But maybe by the time that we’re attempting to cross the galaxy, we have better ships to do so and maybe it’ll take less time. Maybe by then we have learned to fold space. Even though that is still in a theoretical stage, it doesn’t mean that one day it isn’t possible. Thank you. 😊

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if a lightyear is the measurement of the distance that light travels in one year. Then, a ship moving at the speed of light would travel 4.3 lightyears in 4.3 years. Or cross a solar system that is 100,000 lightyears across in 100,000 years, unless you're counting the return trip which would then take 200,000 years.

First, it is a damn good story. Second, to those who criticize the travel between words time. Check out what NASA is working on ftl the scientist; alcuburre

A decent story with a very dull AI narrator. The narrator doesn't make pronunciation mistakes. However it reads the story in a monotone, with a very dull Cadence.

I appreciate you pointing that out! I'll work on making the narration more interesting in future stories. Keep supporting ❣️

These stories remind me of the liberal indoctrination of the early 1960s and 1970s, they are cute and as long as everyone accepts that they are. However the basic application of reality destroys the entire premises once you discover that non-compatible means no means for exchanging genetic material, or that you cannot change a thing unless you understand it for what it is and that knowledge is not a gift of the stars, but requires input from some source and the ability to absorb and reproduce that knowledge so that others can understand it. I like the fact that the human is willing to stand and fight for his family, but those types of rewards are not fathomable. And for the cautionary tale of today, look how many people thought that cute teenage Greta Thunberg was a accepted as having a genius for fronting the environmental movement, but in the not so long haul, she is proven to be an overzealous, undereducated hack, getting the opportunity to live her adult life discredited and ignored, just like everyone else. And for the AI " - " is an indication of a transitional thought, not the word "dash".
