For people curious, fetuses can't actually eat each other in the womb. Miz was probably joking, but no that doesn't make any sense. There are cases were a mother is having twins, and one of them dies in the womb (aka miscarriage). Normally a miscarriage results in heavy bleeding (as if the woman were having a period) and the fetus is expelled from the body, but in this case since the woman is still pregnant with an assumingly perfectly healthy fetus the body instead reabsorbs the miscarriaged fetus and continues on with the pregnancy as normal. This is probably where the misconception comes from, because its called the vanishing twin syndrome. Because early medicine didn't understand what was happening to one or more twins/triplets/etc randomly vanishing from the womb between ultrasounds, or that they were even there in the first place.

Its complications in the pregnancy that can result in the fetus to stop developing. And with no where to go, it just gets absorbed by whatever is nearby. But you're right, with parasitic twins one twin gets partially absorbed by the other resulting in parts of the absorbed twin to be attached to the still developing twin.
