I'm a huge horror movie fan,and growing up in the 80's,I'm incredibly lucky to have been around while tons of the best and most original scary movies were created.Unlike now,there weren't very many females who could openly admit to other girls that we were huge fans in the horror genre.(Back then,for some reason,other girls thought it was bizarre that any girl would actually enjoy these types of films.)So now,I really enjoy checking out these types of short films.I'm so incredibly impressed with how many awesome shorts there are.And yet,big budget horror movies created now are total crap.Either we get the same tired slasher films with boring plots and way too many cheap jump scares,or terrible remakes of already perfect classic scary movies.(Friday the 13th,Nightmare on Elm St ect..)Just to be totally clear,James Wann is brilliant and excluded from this list.So how come we don't start allowing more of these shorts directors try their hand at a big budget movie?The studios should pay close attention to many of these directors,because there are tons of horror fans who are just dying for something different than the shit we're getting these days.

I'd recommend the 'Mad Hatter' short film - it's fan made so the quality isn't as good as some of the other you guys react to but it's the right level of creepy. It's based of the Batman villain 'Mad Hatter' - you know, the guy who keeps on kidnapping girls to try to find the perfect 'Alice'?

There was a better story where a guy kept making dolls for his wife. Turned out the dolls were made similarly from neighborhood children. When the maggots under the shell moved too much it would bother the wife so he'd need to make a new one. Woulda been WAY better than this movie.
