@oceaneo4603 Жыл бұрын
African hair is hair. When an hairdresser is good at its job, it only take him/her a few minutes to figure things out on their own. I know. I have 4c hair and I live in predominante white cities. I never had to say a thing to them !!!!! I never choose a professional based on their races, when I asked for a blow out and trim, (which is the only thing I would go to the hairdresse for, anyway.... 🤷) I took advice from everybody. And my favorite brands are René Futerer and Kerastase.

because the longer you let the regrowth to grow, the harder it gets to bleach. when its close the scalp you can bleach it all in one go, 1 or however many times. but if it gets just a little longer, some of it is no longer close to the scalp to absorb heat, therefore it processes later. meaning youll have to do 2 seperate types of bleach job for the hair . 1 for the hair near scalp that get bleached fast and one for the rest of the hair. its even more complicated when hair is very short and it wont lay easy to foil it or something
@maswiyat_i2 жыл бұрын
I agree her hair looked great but you could definitely see the roots
@oceaneo4603 Жыл бұрын
I also liked her hair before, even though, in my opinion, we could see the roots. I remember my mom talking about my grand mother and the amounts of hats she had. At that time, people were more focused on accessories than hair. All this to write that even with her very short hair, (which can be hard to style), I wonder if she didn't tried other hairstyles that won't require bleaching, like an hair band, scarf, hat, ... or even earings. I think she got bored with her style.

Not only is black hair more delicate because it’s dry, also the actual hair shape makes it more prone to breakage. It’s a ribbon instead of a cylinder like straight hair.

I had to translate you comment to English. From the context, you were definitely complimenting HB on his work. However, in the sentence where you spoke of your experience (assuming in German), one of the words translates to "appalled" which in English is an extreme negative. Strong feelings of shock and dismay. I had to laugh because I knew you did not intend to be negative, it's just the translation. 😁

I have the same pixie and dark color and yes bleaching is complicated. What I do is use 7Vol (Blondme) on the top first because the top usually has blond tips and I apply the bleach with an nozzle bottle to avoid as much as possible overlapping. Once processed I wash it out. I then use 20Vol on the sides and back because these don't have any bleach on them cause I clipper often and its virgin hair. Its the only way for me is to do it in two seperate sessions to avoid breakage. I then follow it up with K18 treatment after Ive applied my favourite toner. Its a long process to do it twice but my hair is healthy and thanks me for it. Thanks Hair Buddha for showing a pixie.

Her hair looks good with the dark roots!!! I wish she would have kept the dark roots. Many people who have dyed African-type hair usually get blowouts. I have a mixture of African and European hair. It is very delicate. Even using shampoo will break it. It’s kind of annoying to have strands of straight hair and strands of curly hair. Do not color relaxed hair and don nor relax colored hair. You have to get blowouts and not relaxer if you want to color it. My sister colors her hair with no problem bit she can get a blowout and flatiron if she wants it bone straight. Most people do the blowout and don’t wash. After you wash, you need another blowout.
