That 'we can take the whole damn world over" line was a callback to Michonne, in his dreams, telling him that. So it's funny when Michonne says that it sounds like something she would say and Rick goes "It is!" 😎 lol Quoting Dream Michonne in front of real-life Michonne and the familiarity for her was just 😌💥🤌🏽

I agree but notice... there was no _name calling or hitting either physically or 'below the belt'. It didn't involve 'cheating' or any of that mess!_ Just a LOUD argument between two people who love each other over everything. And WITHIN the argument there were verbal declarations of love between the two, one for another.
@pauzeandrewind7 ай бұрын
Facts!! She did call him Comando tho. Lol that was the extent of the name calling. Which was smart on her part in the writing, because that was the next level of their argument. Made everything seem that much more real. But it wasn't vicious or below the belt like you said. Great points!
@la11227 ай бұрын
I agree, even when passionately arguing, they still respected each other and I think the fact that Michonne, although frustrated, always brought it back to try to lovingly reason with him and pull him out of his darkness. I think a strong yet feminine soft woman can do much more at disarming her husband than berating him 💯. Michonne was consistently trying to build him up (while she was heavily frustrated) and Rick was trying to shield her from the 8 years of pain he endured. In a sense, he also didn't want her to be with someone who is now a shell of what he used to be. Rick felt embarrassed and no longer brave. When he broke down and opened up at the end, his speech conveyed that he knows that Michonne deserves a man that can protect her and their kids. Rick was struggling to beleive that he was still that man the same way Michonne never stopped believing he still was. Their whole dialogue was just real, heart-wrentching and overflowed with passionate love. Rick had to once again believe that he was worthy to be a husband and a father. I might get cancelled for this and I really don't care lol 😂, but their dynamic has always been defined gender roles. However strong Michonne is, she I always backing Rick and content being the woman behind the Great man. Michonne has never tried to be more powerful than Rick. I could go on and on, but, I don't think I've ever seen any couple like that on TV💯😂

@@pauzeandrewindCalling him "commando" is something she would have said regardless of them fighting, though. It'd just be more a playful jab than sarcasm, but it's not an insult. For all intents and purposes, he literally is a commando.

Loved your reaction, thank you. The long years away from his family and all the brainwashing the CRM did made Rick forget how strong and capable Michonne is. He kept thinking it was his responsibility - and his alone - to protect Alexandria and his family but you could see the light in his eyes and his body relax when Michonne told him we’ll do it **together**. That’s when the old Rick came back. Magnificent acting by Andy and phenomenal writing from Danai. A masterpiece of an episode.

Episode 4 was an emotional rollercoaster and Danai's writing and both Andrew's and her performances were chef's kiss !!!Again, great commentary and I totally agree with you, Danai's performance on episode 3 said a lot without her saying much!!! That's how you know it's great acting. At 18:23 , when you said that Rick was rewired is sooo true, only a woman like Michonne could help him out of this darkness. Lori could never, she was more of the damsel in distress type. Whereas Michonne is a strong yet feminine type that can make an alpha type like Rick feel at ease being his most vulnerable in front of the woman he loves and never wants to disappoint. I also felt like their back and forth, fighting was VERY authentic and believable: that's how real couples fight. Just, for this episode alone, they deserve an Emmy nomination! BTW, I cracked up at 9:30 when you thought Michonne had pulled a gun on Rick lol 🤣! And for the record, Rick is suffering a mix of clinical depression (those bouts of anger and sadness)/PTSD (the dream sequences) and anxiety (how Michonne had to place his hand on her beating chest to calm him down), in my opinion! Would explain his behavior. But I love how by the end, inside the truck, Rick had his swagger back, it was Rizz all over again lol 😘😍

Great episode and great reaction Dude. I absolutely love this episode. Bravo to Danai for her writing and bravo to Andy and Danai for their acting. Richonne is back! And you’re so right they’re so sexy. We definitely needed this talk and I’m glad Rick and Michonne was able to get through that. And Rick is wearing the CRM pants which I don’t mind the pants are badass. And you’re so right Michonne was the only one who could have brought Rick back and she did. The love making was beautiful and I’m so glad that Michonne was able to walk through his panic attack. And you was killing me with the B&B comment 😂. I love your dialogue also, see you on E5.

Wonderful reaction!! Your commentary was one of the best I’ve watched!! Rick was definitely broken. We start the series with him contemplating suicide. He completely killed that part of himself. Seeing Michonne reawakened him. He was gonna escape again but Jadis’s threats stamped out what Michonne brought out in him. They definitely needed this time alone. This series has been great! Can’t wait to own it. I haven’t watched DD or DC but I’m loving TOWL!

"Survive a Jigsaw trap". I'm dead. This episode 10/10 Danai - exceptional writing. Fantastic performances by Danai and Andy, the fact that Andy hasn't won an Emmy for Rick yet is wild. Michonne had to fight through her own anger and disappointment to be strong enough for Rick to be vulnerable. And you are right, it could have only been Michonne to bring Rick out of this, Laurie could never. I wish the show would have allowed them to be more involved in the original series, especially in the later seasons when the story started to wane, because these episodes have been some of the best episodes of the walking dead universe. Coming next: Jadis is definitely going to go after them, and one or both of them end up back at the CRM in time for the Summit and end up having to fight their way out.

Really enjoyed your reaction. So funny. Love the show of appreciation for Danai as a writer and for Michonne as a character. Andy Lincoln deserves all the awards. I love this show. I don't know what's gonna happen, but bare minimum I'm hoping for Jadis being eliminated and a reunion of Rick with his kids. I think they will have to take the CRM top brass down. I'd love a season 2, but if we don't get one, I still have faith in a satisfactory resolve to the season.

another great reaction & video :D i LOVED this episode, it definitely hit the feels so hard for me. i don’t understand how there’s so much hate for this ep??? like? did those people just expect action every second or something? TWD has never been 24/7 action! to me, that’s important!! how else would we have such good character interactions and growth. smh. let’s not even mention the fact that they’ve been separated for what.. nine years now?? 🙄 of COURSE they NEED to have a deep conversation. anyway, i’m really glad to see that you understand! :-) can’t wait for the finale (even though i’ll be sad it’s over,) and i’m definitely coming to watch your reaction when it’s posted! 😌

My wish is that she gets a decent wig. She is a BEAUTIFUL woman and they doing her wrong with that deplorable wig.
@LadyAstarionAncunin7 ай бұрын
That's the only negative. What's more, they had her with Nat for a year, meaning her hair should have grown out from that look some or she'd have had to shave it again to have it like that (since we know they have working clippers in that world). But they didn't bother to change the wig. I'd love to see her with a TWA or a shaved head, but I think that they think the locs are iconic. Okay, but can they do them better? The wigs for her have never really been on point, imo, but at least she does have natural hair. The wig is terrible, though. She's too pretty for that.
@pjthrand21737 ай бұрын
Really? It looks natural. I wore locks about this length and wore it to the side minus the shaved side. LOL. Miss my locks…😢
@la11227 ай бұрын
Idk, it looks very realistic to me, considering that she's been years into the apocalypse, no natural hair salons around or beauty supply stores/black hair products (assuming)... I think it would be very off if her wig meant to replicate locked-hair looked pristine, imo. I've seen real people with locks on the streets and it looks pretty accurate to me!
