My mother in law, a wondeful woman of God died on sunday. For her dieing was gain! I praise God that I know what she believed and have certainty that I will see her in heaven. Please pray for my brother inlaws and their families, some of them do not know Jesus. They know what she and I believe, please pray that they will think on her hope after death and it will draw them to the true Gosple! That was her dearest wish at he end. Her one regret in leaving this world was knowing that some of her children and grandchildren are not saved. She fought hard agains cancer, I pray that I show my kids how to morn with hope. I have been reminding them about what the Bible says

Yes the Bible was written by holy men of God and yes it’s been translated numerous times as our language has changed. However, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls demonstrated how God has preserved His Word over the millennia. People who think that men can out maneuver God have a small view of who God is. that's past sin If the person has gotten beyond that in their walk with Christ. The 2 (marriage & past self harm) dont apply to eachother at all. We've all been saved from our sin who accept Christ and live for Him, and in our own ways we've all harmed ourselves...sinning against a Holy God is exactly that. My main "self harm" was substances, which obviously have repercussions eventually even if its an imbalance neurologically. That person you mention just has outward scars as opposed to inward physically, but EOD the important part is inward. I come from a family where what you said was unfortunately common for my sisters, to the point where as their older brother, if one wasnt at the hospital many times id sleep on the floor at the foot of their beds to make sure they were safe as much as i could. Scars can remind us of who we once were, but we're a new creation in Christ, body marks or not. I have many tattoos (even my hands) from before I was saved (that I regret) and in its own right its scarification, yet im married n they dont contradict eachother at all

If you believe in your heart and call on the name of Jesus, you are already in the basket. The Catholic religion is commonly called the basket of Christ. So do not put it down because of a few idiosyncrasies. If you just call on the name of Jesus, an Angel will come and take you by the hand and lead you towards heaven. Certainly there is a place in his heart if you just call on his name. However the dividing line is perhaps those who expect it will be given to them on a platter.

Death is _not_ a friend but an enemy, and the last enemy that God will destroy someday. New Heaven, New Earth, and new resurrection bodies. Best part of all? Jesus everywhere, all the time, physically living _with_ us for all eternity, not apart from us. We will enjoy his, and each other's company forever. Good times are coming, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Not here, but in the hereafter. Let's continue to please our Lord and live godly for him (2 Corinthians 5:10). Maranatha! P.S. The Bible says that all will stand before God to give an account of every thought, word, & deed. Will you be innocent or guilty on that day? Let’s look at the Ten Commandments to see if you meet God’s standard. Have you ever lied or stolen? (regardless of value) Ever looked with lust and therefore committed adultery in your heart? (see Matthew 5:28) You may not see these as a "big deal" but God sure does. He is Holy and said, "be Holy, for I am Holy." God sent His Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we never could. He took God's wrath on the cross, taking the punishment due for His people’s sins against a holy God. Then Jesus rose from the dead. Cry out to God for mercy, repent and put your trust in Jesus (rather than "good works") for salvation.
