I think I’ve said this before, but a lot of the plants you cut down and get rid of are things we here consider houseplants or move inside during winter (really expensive to buy and mostly found fully grown in botanic gardens) or climbers that die down every winter. As for the US ideal garden it seems everyone is going for an as large lawn as possible, planning to train a team of soccer or football players😂 In this your gardens are very much like the Vietnamese - everything is cut down to bare soil and they too get rid of the same kind of plants.

Tendonitis is awful. I had it in my foot/ankle from June to October and it kept me from doing much of anything besides PT, icing an elevation. But all that worked - finally. Good luck!
