27:05 thhhiiiiiissssss is where my hamster wheel brain was like "damn, I don't think I want this brand to depend on me; I want to work ON the business, not IN the business". There’s a piece missing for me: how did Tatiana get those people into her group with no advertising? How was she contacting or following up with them to ask them to join the group? Were these Amazon buyers or her own brand’s customers via DTC/Shopify (so easy to communicate with them). Can you clarify?

I can't speak for her, but you can get thousands of people into a group through content alone. If you build a following, you can ask them to join a group. Some of them will join even without asking if you keep a link in your description/profile. Again, I can't speak for her. Hope that helps.

Great question! In every piece of content I put out, including my product packaging... I would direct people to the private Facebook group. They were both Shopify/Amazon customers and even people who haven't purchased my products yet but viewed the social media content. I also had many people join the group who knew nothing about my brand, they found it by searching on Facebook with the keyword (that's why my FB group name was keyword optimized). I would say the most important element is making sure that there is activity in the group. So that when someone joins, it's not a ghost town. You need to learn to engage with the existing members so that the activity level is high.

I wouldn't say it solves the same kind of problem that your brand does (although we do have some protective gear) so not sure there are as many groups (and people searching for those groups as your niche) BUT...are you saying we can add our Facebook group (we only have a Facebook brand page right now) to our product insert - and Amazon would not have a problem with that? I didn't think Amazon liked non-Amazon/external URLs...? *I guess we could also advertise our group too, right? Any other advice to help us start to grow a good sized group/community? Thanks and much appreciated...
