My dad spoke 7+ languages. He's Haitian. Some people are just gifted. He spoke French, English, Creole, Italian, Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Hebrew, & a bit of Yiddish. Don't ask - especially if you notice how random the languages are. He might have spoken more. He liked being to communicate. He even said that - the more languages you know the more you can speak to people & make relationships. So I guess in his head something clicked as a kid -- so he made sure to become literate in languages w/ people he's in contact w/ regularly.

After photographing black tip reef sharks in Thailand a tourist on another boat asked how am I single. I think being single is better than being locked down 🤷🏾♀️. Most can’t travel as much as I do and I’m not compromising my lifestyle for someone else. ❤

To be able to connect with someone through their language is to travel distances and to cross boundaries that no amount of flying could ever accomplish.
