If it turns out to be traffickers investigating yourself could get you killed and still result in dead kids. If she so badly wanted to post about it, she could have first talked to the sheriff, and then when she has enough information, she can post how she saw something unfamiliar and had concerns that she addressed with a sheriff, and that once she was properly informed and misunderstandings were cleared, she could talk about what she saw and how she became concerned and contacted a sheriff, and as a result, not only were her worries put at ease, she learned something new, and how if people see something that they are unsure of, to contact authorities. I am not Leon nor am I any of the other commenters. If you are upset with their opinions on what the woman did, discuss it with them instead of twisting my words.

She lives a few miles away from a reservation and didn't know it because she said she's never been that far. Clearly she doesn't pay much attention so it's probably just best to take this as a sign that she's not someone you should listen to because she is barely paying attention. FYI I'm from an area with a 40% Hispanic population my stepdad was half Cherokee and was constantly being mistaken as Hispanic by the Hispanics. Are those Hispanics racists too? No because many South Americans are the descendants of the same native tribes and peoples that are living on reservations in the US today, some may even be descendants of the same family, so many tend to bear a striking resemblance to the people on native American reservations. If you remember from American History class many native people left what is now the US during the trail of tears because they didn't want to go to the reservations. If Hispanics born in South America could so easily confuse my half Cherokee stepdad for being a native South American then maybe we should cut other races and ethnicities some slack for making the same mistake. My stepdad never got mad at them or rude with them for their mistake, why not just try to be more like him?

When she said "36 miles from the nearest gas station," my first thought was, "I DO NOT SEE WATER BOTTLES! WHERE ARE THE TWO GALLONS OF WATER PER PERSON TO SEE THEM THROUGH THE DESERT FOR 36 MILES ON FOOOOOOT?!!!" Granted, that was AFTER reading the subject of today's post, so I figured it was the school trip in question. Still, WHERE was the WATER for these kids?! I worry about that. Dehydration is terrifying. So, in that context, calling the sheriff is a good idea, because the police should be on alert that they might need emergency services, at any moment. I mean, there have been IDIOTS go out walking in the wilderness, thinking "2 16-ounce bottles of water tucked in their pockets was quite sufficient, thanks. OH! We can use that to BOIL our hot dogs, and then throw out the yucky hot dog water, rather than drink it. We don't need to listen to what the ranger says about walking on THIS trail." And then they died of dehydration before the sun set the next day. Real stories. I'm glad that these were kids on a field trip, the sort they have done in the past, and they knew how to plan it, and I'm sure that they had water on their vehicle, or else they taught the children how to find water out there in the desert, because they've done this before and nobody knew about it, which means, "nobody died." Yay!

So she could have apologized but just chose to double down. Did she stay Flagstaff? That isn't even near the border. Also, even if she had legitimate concerns she could have called and not posted anything. Sigh.

@micki0finn430Ай бұрын
@@ahhhreelmonsters366 Wait, her being dumb is because I hate Trump. People do dumb things, human trafficking is a real thing, I can oppose human trafficking and think publicly posting a video of school children on a field trip accusing them of being in the US illegally is stupid. It also makes people who hold the very real concern about human trafficking look stupid. Also yes, I don't like Trump, but I stopped like Democrats a while ago, I mainly say out and laughed at this election.

Moral of the story: if you think something bad is happening? Just call the cops and make it a private matter; the police will escalate it to a public safety concern if there really is an issue. NEVER record something unless you think an altercation is about to happen.

@ahhhreelmonsters366Ай бұрын
no it doesn't... if you're racist, you wouldn't marry outside of your race... mentioning that her husband is a different race lends evidence that she is not racist... the logic follows and can be applied univrsally, for example, if someone accuses you of not liking pizza, and you tell them you had pizza for lunch, it lends evidence to the fact that you do in fact like pizza... i know logic is hard, and you just want to accuse people of racism because you can't actually find it anywhere 🤦♂🤦♂🤡🤡🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
