Chills every time. The imagery and metaphor for the church is so beautiful!! One day we will be ransomed...maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!

I believe "she" is actually creation, not the church, in this song. But I know... the church was my first thought. But it's a meditation on Romans 8:18-23.

I love creational hymns. This is such a good example.

Such wonderful song that captures the beauty and dynamics of things to come! For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

Thank you for this beautiful song. I don’t know how you captured my life so perfectly, but this song is a treasure that I will cherish forever because of that. Truly, I thank you. Can I share my story here? I have been living with a never-ending migraine since August 2019. One single, continuous migraine stretching on and on for years now. There are no breaks from the pain. It is always there, and nothing touches it. No medicine. No treatment. On a “good” day, my migraine hovers between a 6 and 7 out of 10 (6/10-7/10) on the pain-scale. If I encounter my triggers, it’s a guaranteed 9 or 10. Game over. _Light, sound, smell, and vibration._ I also have POTS which means my blood-pressure drops dangerously low whenever I change positions - _especially_ sitting up or (even worse) standing. And that too makes my migraine worse. So I live my life in a dark room with thick blackout-curtains; laying down because that’s the only position I can tolerate most days. A prisoner in my own skin. Agonizing and understandably suicidal. *Waiting.* However, I believe that one day I WILL BE FREE. There might not be a cure for what ails me yet, but someday I know I won’t have to carry this anymore. God will heal me when the time is right. It might be pretty miserable now, but when the gauntlet is finally finished I will be so happy and grateful. Never again will I take good health for granted. Never again will life’s annoyances seem so impossibly big. Never again will I spend another hour crying in shaky, sobbing breaths. I will be free. And, *_Oh! How I long for that day!!_* God knows how it’s cost me; but it’s cost Him too. He is with me, even in my suffering. He loves me. He sees me. And He will help me survive this torture. In fact, He already is. I love My God, because - although life is full of hardship and heartache - He is always with me. I am not alone. And neither are you. _“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”_ Joshua 1:9

Lyrics: Dressed in chains now she waits, looking back upon that day, when the dawn first held its gaze upon the son then the daughter's face. But strange now it seems, like some dark and distant dream, still she hopes and longs to be, once again and finally free. So she waits, she waits. She waits. (x2) She's seen empires come and go, watched the Kingdom's children grow, sparks and embers far from home, born to shine and to behold. Because on her chain is a lock and the key is the radiance she will see, from the light that's gonna be, cast from the sons and the daughters free! So she waits, she waits. She waits. (x2) She's a captive til she sings, by the morning light redeemed, sons and daughters, ohh. She waits, she waits. She waits. (x4) It's been a long time coming, but she hopes for, yes, she hopes for it. (x2)

@@bethelliot7140 The "rapture" happened when Jerusalem fell under Nero's reign. There won't be another one. Just get yourself personally ready to meet Jesus. Stop talking about things that hurt his heart. Go back and read his words and you will see what I'm saying is true.
@bethelliot71403 жыл бұрын
@@sb4040 I have read His Word multiple times through, and I am convinced without a shadow of a doubt that He is coming to rapture us. 👍📖 If you think that the "rapture" happened under Nero's reign, then you misunderstand the rapture as taught in scripture (the Bible). The Rapture is a "catching away/snatching up" of all living and dead believers of the Church age. This has never happened in all of human history. This is what Paul and all the apostles believed and taught and I believe it too! 🤗🙏 Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb? If so, it doesn't matter what you believe about the rapture, I will see you there one day!! ❤😍 Cannot wait!

@@sb4040 I think you’re getting “the rapture” confused with “the great tribulation”. Every Christian who has an eschatology at all believes that Christ will return and the believers will be “raptured” (caught up) to meet Him. What some disagree with are what “end of the age”, “The Great Tribulation”, etc., refer to
