9/10 times I prefer dark eyebrows with bleached hair, even if it doesn't match. I think light eyebrows usually only work when natural or for some people who can pull it off. Her eyebrows looked better when dark for sure.

I have natural light eyebrows and am often told to dye them when I go without makeup. I would never trust myself to do what the girls in these videos do and would likely end up with black instead of brown or, worse, go blind. So I put dark eyeshadow over them when I wear makeup, which also looks fake. But darker eyebrows are just prettier IMO.

@@cici2562 My eyebrows are naturally very light as well. I dye them myself with special eyebrow dye color. It's inexpensive and easy to use when the texture of the dye is creamy. I use dark brown but you can also buy lighter colors (i.e. mid brown).

I agree, I think it depends how thick and black they are - if they are really thick and dense, that doesn’t work as well. Mine are the opposite - I have dark hair and light, fine eyebrows… that generally looks bad 😂

I recently helped my friend bleach her hair. I'm not a licensed hairstylist, but was able to get an even color at home. Her hair is short, so that made it a bit easier... Her hair was orange, red, purple at the start... I worked from the red parts that were in the back, and moved forward, not touching the regrowth. I made sure to soak the hair with bleach and work in small sections. Then I did the roots last... let it process for about 20 minutes or so. It was light yellow and even toned. She was bleaching it to go a dark violet color. She wanted to not protect the side shave that she has, with only vasoline, which I knew wasn't going to work... so we had to bleach everything, and there is patches in the back. So your videos do help, if people do what you tell them to do. Thank you Hair Buddah

Purple shampoo is crap. It also dries the hair right out and comes out funky colours. Stop using!!! I use to do what you say with drops of blue black in with the toner. Glad you told people about a tiny bit of black into a toner, will make it more ash or silver. I think you are the first to every state that. I thought I would try it one time back in the 80's to see what would happen, as no matter what I did the toner did not go ash enough for me and that's how I discovered what a tiny bit of black can do. Not a professional, but been dying my hair since the 80's, so have a wealth of experience and done a wealth of mistakes too.

This was VERY educational episode. I've been using purple shampoo to keep my naturally gray hair nice and bright white, did not know people were putting it on and letting it sit for 30mins!!! Just use a toner!!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅 BTW, you said you do not like the natural orange in your beard. It is a very nice color and is flattering for you.

I don't get the bleached eyebrows either- even when I had my hair platinum blond I dyed them darker (my natural eyebrows are sadly very fair, despite my hair color being brown) BTW I really like natural ginger color - it's different if you have naturally blond or ginger brows or beard. But something about the bleached orange looks very...strange to the eyes. Maybe because that type of orange is not natural (at least in humans).

It’s funny for me to watch all those bleaching fails. I used to bleach my hair at home for years, before KZbin era (yes, people this old are still alive lol). And I never got such bad results, never got patches, my hair never fall off. I didn’t know that I should consider myself lucky 😂 Somehow I knew that I need to take sections and that I need to be very careful with the time that I let the bleach on my hair. I still remember that my hair was really dry and it didn’t want to curl nicely anymore. And the shade of blonde was dull and flat and ugly. But I was young and wanted to look like Carmen Electra 🤣

She did look amazing by the end though, once she'd been to the hairdresser's - especially with so much of the damage cut off! I had heard of blue shampoo, though I've never actually seen it in the shops, as something that might help minimise the unwanted brassy tones I was left with, as soon my dyed brown hair had faded a little - or would using purple shampoo help?

I have used blue shampoo to counteract orangeness in level 7(!) hair. I wanted a cool soft brown color and it helped a little bit.

Hair Buddha, your point is that purple shampoo is for MAINTENANCE!!! It's not for 'toning,' Purple shampoo is about maintaining your (correct) *blonde* color after bleaching, it's not for turning your hair the correct shade of blonde. And, as you point out in many, many videos, even toner is not a miracle product; it's not going through your hair searching for the strands to correct. How are people still not understanding this?! Hair Buddha, you're doing a major service for the folks out here who are actuall listening!

I had a friend in high school who had really short blonde hair that she would dye red, pink, whatever, and she always dyed her eyebrows to match, but that was because she had light eyebrows naturally and didn't like them. I don't really understand why someone would want to bleach their eyebrows to leave them that way, especially someone as fair skinned as this girl. But if someone is coloring their hair with vivids or something and want to bleach and dye their eyebrows to match, I can get down with that. I think it can look really good if it's done well!

I used a purple shampoo recently (Schwarzkopf goodbye yellow) and it literally just made my hilights grey LMFAO. Not a fan of this 🤣🤣 it washed out in the next wash but it was a fail in my books! The BEST one I've found was a random find at winners called Luseta, i should just stick with what I know works for me!!

Wella makes a really nice purple shampoo that doesn't grab too much on light hair, it's also not very drying on the hair compared to milkshake (which is the usual go to purple shampoo)

You know, Hair Buddha, when I first bleached my hair, I went to a 《specialised 》hair store. The 《 specialist 》recommanded me a blue toner to make the yellow go away. The results after only 3 minutes, my hair turned unicorn lilac. I was so mad! Finally, I waited a day or two and did another bleach. Then it was beautiful. Thanks for another great video!

I actually somehow liked the hair color she had in the beginning. I think she looks very good with a warmer / golden shade of blonde. And dying the eyebrows was just an awful idea. They looked very good before, and who wants to have light eyebrows? Most people with light eyebrows draw them darker. The color of your beard looks fine!

I have done bleach bath with blue conditioner with success to banish brass. But I only will lighten a shade or two at a time. I’m a natural level 7-7.5 and my dad is a ginger. Not taking any chances of turning into a carrot. 😂

I also got an undercut for the first time. I just love how she works with me. She said to wash and condition with as cold water as you can to make the colour stay longer.

I love ginger hair so much, for a whole year I had my hair dyed that colour. The first colour change (from dark brown with henna!) I had done by a stylist and it took 6 hours. Then I continued retouching the roots and brows at home with brow bleach and dye. The dying of the brow helps make it look like it's your natural hair colour: my dark brows would have been a dead giveaway. Lots of people thought it was my natural colour when I dyed the brows! I ony stopped because it wasn't the best for my skin tone and I didn't want to danage my hair so much anymore

I know you say purple shampoo isn't a toner but I found this shampoo called sun bum purple color enhancing shampoo and it literally made my bleached hair icy white. I had put some CHI iridescent blonde toner a few months back and it was a kind of beige blonde. Then I did silver with pink cascading over the silver. I ended up removing it with some horrible concoction and it dried my hair so bad but it took the color out. After that is when I tried the shampoo and it gave me this icy shade. Maybe I got lucky but it works. I've got about 3 inches of regrowth to bleach now and I'm hoping I can match it. Because I've never found a toner that got me this icy.

I have never seen someone applying purple shampoo on dry hair before getting in I was always told use a coin amount and put it on your palm first and froth it up and wash it normally. I have natural light ash blonde and I use it

all of my years of bleaching at home, I never used purple shampoo. I thought I was maybe doing something bad. I would tone with some semi permanent dye. I got some nice pastel lilac or blue shades that would fade to the gray I wanted.
