Great story and I don’t mean to undermine the essence of the story; my only question is why the women portrayed all light-skinned? Why is this African story failing to highlight the beauty of our deeply melanated sisters? Hollywood always chooses the light-skinned sisters as the primary symbol of beauty. I’m not hating as I mixed and am a light caramel brown, I just grieve when I don’t see the women that look like my mother or grandmother celebrated as the heroines they are even in this African story. I know this is AI generated but please be mindful of perpetuating the Hollywood stereotype of black beauty that can only be of a lighter hue!
@amalkubari750511 ай бұрын
I totally agree with what you’re saying. It’s enough that the world portrays certain hues as desirable while others are not. Know that we have our own voice let’s do better.

Beautiful story indeed. I think this has taught King n elders a lesson. Be patient with people n things tht u do nt understand. Patience is the mother of success. What was going to happen if the weather didn't change to what they believe in, what if they killed the baby before the parents returned, and how were they going to replace tht baby if they killed her? All I can say is,, Look before u leap(lip)
