I won’t say I like better than the original. The original is a classic, one of the greatest love songs. But that remix is a whole vibe, like a completely different song, it’s like a different hit on its own, so much to love about it. But I’ll never put them up against each other, it’s unfair to the “Stay a while” remix.

Fun fact: This is actually an unfinished song. She wrote the lyrics and was missing a bridge, then she started working on the music with Walter Afanasieff whom she wrote many songs with before but in the middle of the song they parted ways. Rumour has it that since she had already worked a deal with Sony executives to escape her ex-husband Mottolla he forbade Walter from working with her. The thins is the part where she is vocalizing was supposed to be written with him "the missing bridge" however out of respect to Walter and all the work they had done in the past she decided to record the song that way with a missing lyrical bridge. Also this song is inspired on a trip she had to Puerto Rico
