I commend Madina for how she responded to Lea’s confrontation. I attribute a lot of Madina’s maturity and articulation of feelings to her being a mental health therapist. She doesn’t accuse; rather, she listens and states how something made her feel while also tactfully speaking her mind/opinion and not compromising her values. Very disgusted by Lea’s persistence in beating this dead horse…yet another high school-esque moment. 🤮

Lea bullying Madina for not being mean enough to Maria: "I hold myself and my friends to a higher standard than you do." Oh, snap. In the next episode, however, after spending the day obsessing about Maria only for the latter to continue growing closer to Joey and be (group date rose) rewarded for it, Lea suddenly has a moment of fleeting clarity, recognizing what's been long obvious to others: "my heart is in my ass," she says. I'm more surprised by the self-awareness than by her racing to fill Sydney's shoes as the house's tone gestapo. People impressed by her burning the steal-a-date advantage in ep.1 must have failed to cringe over how clumsily and with what protracted reluctance she did so. She could have told Joey how lucky and honoured she felt at even being offered such a gimmick, could have noted apologetically what an affront to him such frivolous shenanegans represented -- day 1 and already his future wishes have been blatantly disrespected, treated like a game. In her shoes I'd be saying 'dude... I'm so sorry production isn't taking you more seriously'. But I'm sure they're not allowed, or comments like that get edited out. But she might have assured him that she really wanted to get to know him & hopefully develop a connection they'd both want to build on, could have ripped the card in front of him or told him, with a laugh, that she'll keep it in case the day comes when after their 1st 1 on 1 he wants another such, could have then spent a few minutes actually focusing on getting to know him. But instead she wallowed in her insecurity and angst, crying to Joey about the unearned steal-a-date card as if it were a serious option, got an easy pity-rose, and yet even after their talk, she continued to clutch onto the card like a life preserver, still crying and deliberating over it, before finally figuring out that using it would mean frustrating Joey's intentions, and the clear path to taking advantage of such a huge gift (by now barely still available to her) was obviously taking the high road. Which she FINALLY did, with minimal warmth and interaction with Joey himself, giving a little speech more for the benefit of viewers or perhaps for the other girls, making it all very introspective. It never seemed to cross her mind for a moment to even question her entitlement, or to apologize for how such manipulations might make Joey feel. It smacked of narcissism. A woman with interest in Joey might have shyly offered him the card with the playful idea that maybe he'd give it back to her someday: conveying interest, humility, intelligence and integrity. Instead, she threw away that opportunity and reduced the card's value to a mere integrity signifier. Pretty damn easy integrity test given the sheer obtuseness required of the alternative -- and barely, just barely passed. I suspect this sort casting is a producer plant -- not that emotionally immature young fame chasers are hard to find, but when someone's chances are slim and/or they aren't interested in a rush engagement to a virtual stranger anyway, it can't be too difficult to purchase some well-timed catty drama, and I'm sure in exchange for rings, wardrobe and other perks, a show lead can be induced to keep someone around until at least hometowns.

Lea is the hugest disappointment of this season. She seemed so good at the season start, but she showed what a needlessly mean girl she can be. Her high standards are apparently not that high. Sydney is pure hyper viligiance. In court everything Sydney would say is hearsay. How does Maria saying “just listening to you Sydney is making my mind go xyz.” Sydney spins it into “Maria is going to KILL MEEEEEEE!” What the audience sees is Sydney harbouring some mad jealousy and the hope is Sydney sees what’s happening and be less controlling. Seeing Sydney that controlling, Lea is exactly that controlling too. That’s the problem about being this controlling in relationships you end up becoming very dependent to the point all you’re doing it just delaying a break up. My suggestion is Lea and Sydney get help, therapy works!

You know how edited the show is. Kinda sad that you're not speaking up about that. Also, if Maria is stating the whole house is against her, and many people were upset Sydney left, it's very obvious more was going on than we know. People who claim jealously is the reason why women don't like Maria should look at all the other beautiful women in the room. People don't seem to be going after them, do they? I'm shocked about this too. Others are saying people were only siding with Syd because they were jealous of Maria, but there are plenty of lovely ladies in the house. You mean to tell me no one feels threatened by anyone else? Come on. Sometimes it isn't just because a woman is beautiful. I'm not taking a side either way, I'm looking at this impartially, which I think most people should.

This is so common though among immature girls. Women like Maria who are kinda odd, kinda abrasive, but not malicious rub people the wrong way and pretty soon everything they say is terrible. Edwina defended Maria and several other women seem to be neutral. It’s really only Lea and Jess that are super pro-Sydney
