This was such a refreshing song that stands out from modern music. I felt that Shea really took me back in time with her voice. The lyrics were so heavy, not in a negative way, but in a way that carries meaning and depth. I found that I wasn’t only listening to the song for enjoyment (although I did thoroughly) but I was listening to dissect it and really try to understand what she was saying and really connect with her. Her words made her vulnerable and at the same time powerful for doing so. When you know the story that goes with it, you can really be with her in this battle she is fighting. I wish the song was longer, I didn’t want it to end.
