Great song! Fun fact: karaoke in Japanese comes from kara (empty) + ōke (short for ōkesutora or orchestra)

I've been listening to your latest album non-stop today and I'm elated, thank you for your commitment to artistic depth and for your hard effort over the years, even at a place far away from the big limelight. It is truly rare.

Like all Shearwater songs, this will take time to absorb. I look forward to it growing on me!

Aww sorry I missed the premiere bc this is my fave or second fave track on the whole album! "Thunderous but gentle" is a great description. This is like a turning point on the record, somehow, where everything shifts....I love the mix of natural recorded sounds and sound f/x and melodies. Sounds a bit like prog rock yeah, but also very very Shearwater. It's like JPAO was the politics album, the pandemic orchestrals were, well, the pandemic albums, and this is the "coming out of the bunker into the natural world to take stock after everything blew up" album.

Recently discovered you guys. How did it take so long?! By the way, I saw Caracaras near Lake Okeechobee five years ago. One of my favourite bird sightings. Hoping to read the book soon!

@shearwater lovely stuff. That vocoder gives it a tint of ELO. Very strong song. Glorious x #thegreatawakening
