Such a silly requirement. The only thing "not going anywhere" is the floor. Which is already the most secure b/c it probably has equipment on it.
@kosmokritikos92993 ай бұрын
I would suspect that the shed is anchored to the floor and the floor is anchored to the ground.

"Remove your nuts" is right. This thing wouldnt hold down a doghouse in high wind! Y'all must just have gentle breezes up that way!

TIP: When I worked for U.S. Forest Service as a Fire Camp Boss we always gave the Lead Cable a stiff tug or two to set the Arrowhead before attaching the lead cable to anything. Good Video, Thanks!

HE EXPLAINED THE ARROWHEAD ROTATES SLIGHTLY AS IT GOES INTO THE GROUND. YOUR LITTLE TUG IS NOTHING WHEN A WIND KICKS UP.
@TBI-Firefighter-4516 ай бұрын
I have installed 1,000's and the Arrowhead will pull straight out if you don't set them with a stout tug and no they do not rotate when drove in@@misfitty-vd6kv

@@misfitty-vd6kv Tugging or setting the anchor gets a bit of slack out of the line before connecting it to the building. Good practice.

Does this work on plastic or those resin? Types of sheds, or is it just wood

safety tip...Try some gloves while pounding your fingers with the hammer. You may have 10, but you will miss even one. Otherwise, thx for the info...👍

Thank you for a simple video ! Now if I can get it moved without paying 200 dollars. Had to get a permit and the city wants my shed anchored and moved 10 feet from the neighbors property line
@danob653 Жыл бұрын
Isn't that dumb? Same here. I have no idea why you can put a privacy fence on the property line but not the wall of a shed. Even if you already have the fence up. I'm going with an enclosed trailer.

You want to get a much longer pole and use a post hammer for fencing that way you won't hit your hand with a sledgehammer

What is a good solution to anchor a shed on skids to concrete? Just use extra long tapcons through the skids?

The screws that go into the shed are of superior gripping power and are not the weakest link. This the cost of this being 125 dollars
@stevenfox66523 жыл бұрын
Just wanted to point out that you put the collar on the wrong side. It is actually called a saddle. and a saddle always goes on the opposite side of the cable that is going to nothing, the end you are cutting off. When you install cable clamps always remember to never saddle a dead horse. Also if you live in a high wind area, from storms, you should put a second cable clamp on about 3 inches from each other.
@ldlink39352 жыл бұрын
I would also recommend wearing a nice industrial leather glove as a buffer, or just practice your hammering skills to avoid beating the heck out of your hand, prior to installing 0:49 .

@Steven Fox - Despite your comment being a year old, I hope you see this and reply! You stated that it ' is actually called a saddle. and a saddle always goes on the opposite side of the cable that is going to nothing, the end you are cutting off." Since it's just a single cable that you form a loop with, how could he have got it on any other way? NOT being snarky, I would like to know since this might be useful. Thank you, if you can let me know. :-)

I would suggest installing the hardware first then tap down the anchor so that it’s tight. Might be ideal.
@kittywilhite9583 Жыл бұрын
Give a hard tug on the cable after it's in the ground and before you put it through the O-ring. If you attach the hardware first, you won't be able to take up that slack.
@aaronowens6765 Жыл бұрын
@@kittywilhite9583 seems to me you would be able to take up the slack as you hammer it down in the ground. Once you put all the hardware on, I guess you could still tamp it down

With it being so loose, it seems like it would just bounce around in the wind

What kind of winds do you have to hold a building down??
@benstoltzfus85102 жыл бұрын
It depends on how big the shed is and what is stored inside. Also the location; does the wind have a run at it or are there wind barriers around it.
@douglasrush51972 жыл бұрын
is it supposed to be that lose?
