It's fantastic what some small town departments do with not the most modern equipment and most volunteer. On these videos I have seen small town departments start water on fire much faster than some large town departments. Great job guys, stay safe.

to make it easier on the dispatchers. city of Tulsa 911 dispatches multiple fire departments and we’re a lot of Engine 1s and 2s.
@dkprintworkz97573 жыл бұрын
The reason we switched is because 4 depts around us have engine 1s and 2s, it's less confusing. We chose 91 because our individual unit numbers are 900s so it kinda works.

Someone needs to learn what a 30 second mask up is. Train, train, train. That's just sad!

There was no need for a second line and this is a single company response all day maybe and I mean MAYBE 1 extra engine
@williamclark53393 жыл бұрын
@@jmcculloh88 Really, that's a 2000 gal + fire all day, the second line had water on the fire for about 25 seconds before the attack line was ready. If you have hydrants in the area, I agree, two engines one in operation and one for man power and stand by in case something happens to the 1st due engine. Now where I live, we are a tanker town, between our two stations we have two engines 1,000 gal each south end, north station have one engine 1,000 gal, engine tanker 1,750 gals and a tanker 3,000. Once the tones drop for a structure fire, tankers from three other stations are toned out at the same time, each tanker with 3,000 gals of water. An a engine to set up a fill site depending which end of town the fire is.

@@williamclark5339 I appreciate the lecture and I understand that. I work municipal with hydrants and volly in an area where all we have is tankers. I know both sides very well. I don’t see how you think this is a 2000 gallon fire. I’ve put out way more with a lot less. But my main point is that it was a simple outbuilding fire and there’s no reason any more than 2 company’s on a fire like this. Utilize your resources properly.
