Reminds me of my Dad's shed. He called it "The Fall Out Shelter" because if he and Mum fell out, that is where he could shelter. All you need now Simon is a bucket and a hammock.

Simon gets a little full of himself and Gemma brings him back to earth with a middle finger - priceless the way you both interact. Next comes heating and air for when Simon is in the dog house. Can’t wait to see what all equipment and tools you decide to bring in - it will be well thought out since that is the way you both roll. Just a great entertaining episode.

OSB isn't really designed for high surface wear, and a laminate top is too brittle for a work surface. Coating the top with a few layers of epoxy will prevent flaking and oil saturation. Opening those nice doors could be tough when wearing work gloves, adding a small 'Clam Shell' door pull to the corners will give snag proof purchase to easily open each one... I made the mistake of using knobs on mine and kept snagging wires and my pockets on them... ✌😁

Cupboards - I went the "Sealey" route and it looks really good, apart from being very practical - did cost a few bob, but cant have everything. No fighting in the ranks - you just cant get the staff - not saying who from who (might get struck off 🙂 ) Heating - I went with a "Sealey High Efficiency Infrared Short Wave Wall Mounting Heater IWMH2000R (A)" , oh and a log burner 🙂 Years ago I was taught to lace cables, you make a loop around the cables pick up the loop with the loose end, move up a bit and repeat. I made my loop to one side the instructor to the other. I said it didn't make any difference, he said there is a right way and a wrong way of doing it and my way was the wrong way - END: had to do it again 🙂

After you get all the work benches, shelves, cabinets, and everything else in your shed, are you going to have any room to actually work in there? Looks nice. Never done that with the materials you are making everything out of. I might have to give it a try in my garage. Thanks.

Always happy when you guys give content during the week. Quick question (I have asked it before but did not see it responded too.) The biscuit joins you did for the bottom shelf, why was that not a consideration for the cross members on the beams? The thinner boards you diagonal cut and join with glue that run bow to stern across the beams. Its a curiosity question, I have no experience or opinion, just saw you guys do it before and when watching you put the first ones down across the beams I got all full of myself thinking I had learned something and was thinking "they are gonna do that biscuit thing I bet!" .. .but you didn't. Was just curious.

great job on the shed, although i have to say i personally hate cupboards, things hiding away, the amount of time you waste looking for things, open one door to find its hiding behind another door, same with drawers, so at work i had the luxury of pinching two old fashioned disused metal drawer units, the stype that would easily occupy boxes of screws and nails, nuts and bolts, and smaller tools, the type you might have had in a machine shop, i removed the drawers, as i said i hate them, and now my tools live in narrow pigeion holes, so i can see what i want as i walk to the unit, grab the tool required in an instant and no more wasted time searching, perfecto

This is a very nice new work area. Unless I am missing something, I am not seeing any setup or location for dust collection. Will you be using a unit like you have at the big shop or get an outdoor collection system? For ventilation, do you have room to cut in at least one window? Can you cut in a roof fan to expel air? Do you have room to add an air cleaner?
